the firmware 5.81 really did great!!! it made the loud speaker sound a little louder.. and enhanced the performace of the camera. Remember the camera's slow focusing? it's now gone, and it saves pictures much more faster than the previous firmwares...

only way to do is by formating the phone & puttung version 5.81 , the phone is then perfect

Battery lasts ages for me coming from a 6300 to 5310. 5310 is miles better.

I bought it 2 weeks ago
its very nice but it has 2 big problem:
1:battery 2:ring tone
the battery lastes for short time and you can not hear your call ringing in busy places.it should be defently on wibrating mode when you are out.

Does the NOKIA logo at the back of the unit really fades? because mine is. Just wondering if it is an original phone. Please post your reply

i just bought this phone.. about the comment of the loudspeaker and camera i dont see it will give any problem.. yes the loud speaker is a little low but it produce much clearer sound than other phone.. u will be happy about the sound.. and playing song trought handsfree is superb.. about the cammera it is slow motion thats mean your hand cannot be to vibrate while taking a photo but it has no problem to take photo at night even it does not have flash.. the photo is better than nokia 6120..

its nice phone and looking very smart. but the ringing volume is very low. so sometimes i missed some calls and volume up and button sometimes not working and loud speaker is too low.

the availability of the latest software for your phone will depend on your unit's product code (or from which country it came from). my phone's (nokia 6300) latest software is 6.02 and yet when i try to update only 5.50 is available. i am guessing the newer version is not yet ported for the asian version (which my phone is).

A Really good cell phone, the battery, last for a good time, the player with the phone is loud and clear, also, the plug, is the standart, so, no problems on buing a new one... it's extremely light

I use the automatic update but it always said that the latest version is ver 03.63 and not v 05.81

but after I read whole of this comments bout this phone,it makes me really hesitate..
aha..yes..but.....!!!

ADVANTAGE.
-the sound is so loud.(I hav no idea if u can say it too slow....)
-the keypad built as easy to push and to type.(I found it really makes me feel comfortable to use it.)
-You can enjoy to the songs,and free to do as anything (to the phone) that You want at the same time without hanging probs.(Believe me)
-I really enjoy to use Nokia PC SUITE.
(easy to explore,and easy to transfer the song by CD-really easy as A,B,C)
-luv this kind of features in it.(such really,really EASY (easy again) to use it.yes!)
-I've put JVC headfon at my ears.
BELIEVE ME>>>IT'S TOO GOOD AND SO COOL..Exteremely amazing sound!!yes!!I really mean it...it is juz so awesome and amaze....(waaa...I luv it....)
-for phisically views,it is very cool wif red one.(thats why I bought this in RED...heheheeh..)
-so slim.(9.9mm!!!!!!)
-too light..
-coz I fall in luv with it since I looked it at the first time at the newspaper..(hehehehh..)
DISADVANTAGE.
-(aha..all of u will guess it rite..?)
the quality of the camera..It is not too good if u wanna compare it with another gadget(such as N6300.But,it is not too bad if u wanna snap a pix at night,or take a video whereever You want..
And if this probs can make you hesitate to buy,aha,you have to admit this,because this phone is created for music,music.and music..
(the result of this camera quality it's not too bad..believe me.)
-the plastic cover of USB cable,its very sensitive.It will not broken if You can manage it properly..
-erm..what else..(actually I can't think of the disadvantages on this phone,coz this phone is too good for me...sorry..)

erm...I bought it wif 2 Gb DNA micro SD..
There's no hanging,no freezing,no cracking,and even no auto off.
(heheh..the balance of my Micro SD now just leave about 0.5 G..can u imagine it..??)
My EXPERIENCE of XM5310.
actually...I luv music..I luv to hear music...it can be a mind theraphy for me..
so..I enjoy to hear my favourite song from Steelheart,Firehouse,solo of Ygnwie malsteen,Steve vai and so on..
then...I put the earphone and I hear it from my ears-
..the guitar plucking from Nuno by Extreme in "More Than Words.." really make me feel harmony.......
...then...on the first night after I bought this phone,my brother test the sound on the headset,wif the song "She's Gone,by steelheart..(if u used to hear this song,u will knew the intro on this song that starts wif pucking and then it silent for about 3 or 4 seconds..rite..?
then the steelheart's guitarist SUDDENLY play the intro key(argghh..waahaha..I cant describe it in English...wakakaaka...juz listen to the song n u will know hat I mean...hehe...peace..)aha...my brother at the moment the guitar key is plucked,he is shocked and accidentally he throw away my henset and the earphone....luckily it fell at his lap...phew...!aha...diz is tmy 1st experience that really shows the powerfull sound of NOKIA 5310 XPRESSMUSIC...!
...then again...how about the song "like an angle-for april"......owhh.....my self is juz flying away when u hear it on this 5310 wether by loudspeaker or via headset/phone......
and believe me...
its so good ,no hanging ,no freezing (AGAIN..!),powerful device from nokia,main thing is battery lasts very long...
MY ADVICE.
If u thing that you wanna get this stuff,don't hesitate..no need..u juz get it..
