for all those who have complained about low ringtone volume issues ... i guess i could be of some use to you ...

pls chk for this feature in your "profiles"

you might have something called "outdoor" if you select your profile as outdoor you will have the loudest ringtone level ...

my 3110C had this issue & i fixed it like that ... :)

hope my info was useful to u all

nd moreover i've also solved the mystery of the freezing due to a missed call...if ur keypad is unlocked and you get a missed call, the phone wont freeze. but if the keypad is locked, after the call gets missed, the phone gets freezed on the screen when the notification "keypad locked" is shown.....so all these are just software bugs, which i hope(sincerely do) that the nokia ppl will resolve when they release the next software update

hey ppl i've already posted solution to the hanging problem during music playback...its just a software bug...ther is a problem in the mp3 decoder plugin of the music player onboard 5310....if u play eAAC+ files then it'll play like a breeze.....i know cuz i'm using that format since last 2 weeks....i've loaded 180-200 songs on my mem card nd it works gr8....the sound output in headphones is excellent...tho i agree the loudspeaker is a bit on the lower side

Actually this phone is nice, especially with the design and feature of this handset BUT there's one big issue- phone fReEzE during music playback. Several times in a day gosh! Although the music quality is good (If equipped with a good headphone) but can't really enjoy this feature due to the issue that mentioned above. Hope the latest firmware can solve this problem.

HOTSWAP means you can remove the mem card when the phone is on. DAC 33 is a digital audio dedicated chip which nokia says it has on this phone.

Can not subscribe to previous opinions. I converted all mp3 files to acc and also into m4a (with only 94 bit). The phone still crashes and reboots whenever it likes: using mp3 files it rebooted almost after every second song, now with m4a files it reboots twice in an hour if not touched and only used for playing music. And by the way, some here recommand to install alternative player, the KD music player. Well I finally found one and could install it, it is very slow in reading in the music library, its menu is not good and not easy to understand, you cannot use Nokia s keys on the phone, only softkeys available, AND guess... it still crashes every hour 1 or 2 times!

I think Nokia has a serious problem there and I guess, they will not solve it by new firmware, instead of this, they will just bring out quickly the next not readily developed Nokia phone modell...

I have both, Sony-Ericssons W880i and the Nokia,I really love the Nokia coz it has a better menu and better keys and to use for emails is really fine compared to the SE, but the SE can play music... with no reboots, just play...

I read a statement of the general manager of Nokia, he would like to see the phone as a "music player with phone functionality and not only as phone with music player".

                            Well, sounds fine.

Nokia, I am aready satisfied with "just" a phone with music player, as long as it really can play music!

is this a "slider"-type cellphone (like my Nokia 5300), or is this a "candybar"-type cellphone (which is what it looks like in the pictures of the cellphone)??

Hi, i bought these phone recently and i really like it, most specially the slim design (the slimmest phone i guess?). The only bad experience that i incurred is the sms... my question is? what is the capacity of messages? and im trying to transfer it to the memory card but its no use. And what if you have receive MMS which gathers lots of space! I always deleted lots of improtant messages that im storing. Will anyone help me with this? help me guys, Please? or i rather exchange it for HTC Touch before Xmas? THanks!

I know only that thing, that this phone doesn't read .sis files, because only smartphones on symbian operation system reads .sis files...
