guys, at first sight i like this phone and i wanna buy one cause it's slim =) i never thought this phone will auto restart hihihihi very disappointing huh?! if u guys are not into slim phones and want a grat phone, buy the old SE w810i. it will nver disappoint you =) it has the best 2MP camera ever and cool megaBass. and oh.. it can support 4GB MS: \m/,

I personally think that it is a very good phone with lots of cool features. The colour display is amazing and it is unbelievable light. You wouldn't know that it was in your pocket!

hey all
as per entry below, i think that about covers it - but i havent got a problem with a "low speaker volume" - just the restarting. It is irritating, because it restarts sometimes twice during the same song! And it takes a little time to check the card too, for "media search". Not very good in that sense, but a nice phone otherwise...

i bought nokia 5310xm a month ago, here's what i think about it:
- camera, not very good, i used LG KE770 before, and the picture that taken from nokia 5310xm lose a lot if i compare it with the picture from LG KE770 camera
- sound, it's nice but the bass is not very good, and the nokia earphone in the package is not very good too, so i use seinheisser earphone, and it's quite good. i never had walkman phone before, so i can't compare it to walkman phone
- just like everybody complain, it keep restarting itself if i listen to the music more than half an hour, and sometimes it just restart even when i'm not listening to the mp3 player
- fast UI, i can say, there's no lag, i used 1 Gb memory card
i'm thinking to change it with SE W610, any suggestion?

off course i've try this phone... my girlfriend has this phone.... are you stupid???? i said that this phone has better sound than walkman but if you use a great headset!!!! i used my walkman headset in this phone and it's better than my w850i.... but not that good in 5310's retail package headset.... only good mid and treble but the bass elements are poor (not as good as HPM-70) are you sure already had w800i????? i don't think so.... w800i still better from this phone!!!! w800i was a legendary phone...

Hey all,
I've had the phone a few days now. Got it from CPWhouse on pay-go. It is a great little phone, but I'm am already tired of it constantly restarting itself. I found out it does it more often when using the MP3 player. I happens every 2 songs now. With the phone in standby, or on normal use (text, calls, menu browsing, gaming) it works fine and doesn't restart. It happened once and that was it. However, playing MP3s is out of the question - every 2 songs and i'm waiting for it to come back to life. Then, it wants to rescan for music (checks a 2gb card, takes a little while) then plays the very first song on the list - regardless of what i was playing before. Very very irritating. I asked CPWhouse today, and they "know nuffink" as the lad put it.....Very bad for a 130quid fone!

Dear friends
I bought this phone about 7 days ago. One interesting thing i have found that when the phone is connected thru charger, the speaker volume is loud and clear. Without charger connected, speaker volume is soft. I think it may be a firmware problem.
Hope Nokia will release firmware soon for this phone.

hi, i got this phone yesterday its so light i mean ultra slim but i got some problems in it for example self restart, slow,battery takes five hours to charge,backlight is so slow u cant see text messages in daylight. so me persdonaly dont like its badly flop set from nokia. i can understand because i have my own workshop of mobile repairing. thanx

Oh I forgot to mention. Only things this phone lack are Symbian OS and 3G/3.5G!

I find it strange for Nokia to put a 3.5mm headphone jack to a lower-end phone like this 5310 instead of putting it in higher-end phone like 5700. I mean, 5700 only 2.5mm headphone jack yet it is more bulky than 5310 and not to mention SYMBIAN smartphone! What the heck is going on here? Nokia are making fools out of us! We know that Nokia can make PERFECT phones, yet they still make flaws of their own. WTF is wrong with them? I'm disappointed :(

there are only two available colours for this phone. Only read and blue... huhm I hope that there's a new firmware upgrade for this phone coz it's really annoying for me everytime my phone restarts!

get sony ericsson if u wanna die faster with the high SAR, w610 has around 1.4w/kg. Plus, this nokia 5310 is slim and has good factors, talk about a midrange music phone, who cares of cam, I dont need a 7.2 mp cam in my phone, I got my digital camera.
so the question is does every 5310 user has the restart buggy problem?

w610 and w880 are not bad except that they have keys designed for small children. Even worse, the fastport connector is on the side of the phone, adding more than 30% to the width when using the headset or any headphones. Also, w880 has NO radio.

This phone is quite expensive. Design ugly. The 3.5 mm is the only plus. It's not worth the money. SE w610i and w880i is still much much better.

its totally waste mobile....camera quality totally waste, i think its not 2MP...sound quality for loudspeaker waste waste...
