I have had this phone for about a year and a half already and I just had to come to this forum to say my opinion on this thing. It has so far been one of the best phones I've ever had! Let me tell you why. Before this, I had a touchscreen phone (samsung) that gave me too many issues and had bugs in it. I think that phones have been so hyped up with all the touchscreens and all, but yet they have issues! (screens do not respond, phones freeze up, etc.). I have rarely had to ever restart my phone for errors and it is lightning fast with input (keeps up with two-thumb texting). I found that this phone is all I need in a phone. You can't do EVERYTHING that a smartphone needs, but you can handle all essential communication tasks that you need like email with attachments, browse web, download apps, google maps, and of course, PHONE CALLS. If I wanted to watch youtube videos while I'm out and about, I would use a iPod or computer (do you really NEED it on your phone?). Which by the way, if you really need youtube, yes the 5310 CAN do it anyway (needs full data plan and configuring, but can be done!). Music player and keys are excellent for access to your fav music anytime (speakers even better than ipods and many other phones!). This phone is just so awesome, I'm waiting for them to do a follow-up version but have yet to see something. The body is near-perfect, if only could have covers for the headphone jack, that would be great. Also could use a java memory upgrade since it can barely run Google Maps due to the "heap" size limit. Wish it had app-switching, wi-fi, and a flashlight too. That would make it perfect. :)

This phone gives you all you need to do what you need to do. Touchscreen sometimes cause the phone to have software errors, making it less reliable and more prone to issues. This phone has great balance of user-friendliness, technology, features, size, and value. :)

Sakthe, 19 Jan 2011Hi friends, i m uing nokia 5310 for the past 2 yrs and its... moreNot to worry, I had a phone that the volume rocker also was not working on. What I did is I happened to come across an old beat up 5310 from someone and it worked fine, but I took it apart for some spare parts and this guy at a cell phone store opened it and replaced the inside body piece that was wrong with it. Try that and you should be able to turn your volume up again! (otherwise, if only your volume down works, then press down once on the volume key, then press up on the center d-pad and that should turn it up again.;)

Hi friends,
i m uing nokia 5310 for the past 2 yrs and its a very good phone.
one day my phone fell down and after that the volume control buttons on the right hand side are not working. The volume level is low in music player and as well as while i am on a call...
how do i increase the volume without using the volume control buttons??
i searched everywhere and couldn find a solution. is there any software or any application to increase the volume?
please help me with solution guys.

Hi Friends , I bought this mobile on Feb 14 2008,and I am using the same till now with same enthusiasm.No Software problem,No download problem,No hanging problem.Good sound.Fast and furious when I am connecting with Internet.Slim and seek.I used to keep my mobile inside my purse.Weight is just 71g.Only one disadvantage is when you try to capture naps it will load for some time if the pixel size is more. Apart from that its so good.I LOVE IT !

I have ebuddy on my 5310 & it wiorks fine with facebook,gmail and msn accounts.
there is also Gmail & yahoo applications
