this is a good phone no doubt about that but im not sure if the processor is to slow because it keeps lagging and the touch screen isnt brilliant and it has many falts,no video calling, touch screen cana break often or freeze, the phone isnt as robust as i would of liked it to be and also it wont turn on some times because of the memory card inside it wont allow it to there are soulotins to this
1: by taking the memory card out
2: by taking the memory card out and then resetting the phone to factory settings
3: by taking it to a nokia repair center

Long time didn't come to our site,was so busy n busy enjoying my fone....but i've noticed something unusual.When i'm listening to music using 360ting n got a call,the player n fone will hang after the call.My only option after that is to re-start the fone.Have you encountered this problem bro?
And what do you think is the reason?
Over all,the fone is fantastic and luv it so much n i'm happy that lot are buying this model now.

Where is your mobile made from? Is it Hungary or just written "made by Nokia"? If so, it's possible that da mobile IMEI made in Hungary might make da process faster in opda since hungary sets hav chinese batteries. Do you think the sets made in Hungary can possibly be further processed in China like the batteries too? Maybe dat might be da reason behind the slow processin in OPDA for you nd rolden? I'm jus sayin it can be a reason but i can be darn wrong about it too....let me knw if am bro...Nuwan also has a "made in Hungary" set!!!
Btw i'll be buyin da set tomorrow....wish me luck bro....still havn't decided which one to buy "made in Hungary" or "made by Nokia"? I don't knw if that actually makes any difference? But the guyz at the Nokia centre says "made by Nokia" costs a little bit more than da other with a difference of like $2.73 in my place.

After a while right..? I'm just wondering why you want C7 (350 Euro) over N8 (370 Euro)?

Because C7 doesn't have capacitive touch screen, 12 MP camera with Xenon flash, HDMI out, Dolby Sound, USB on the go, 16 GB storage & aluminum Finish etc...

I think above differences are worth than just 20 Euro.. Am I correct...?
(By the way, C7 is just a rumor while N8 will be releasing very soon... I think I'm gonna get one...)

If you know stuff like Video codecs (H.264 etc), Video aspect ratio and bit rate then the best software for your task is "handbrake" which is one of the most awarded totally free applications out there... (Selected by CNET)

Another wonderful free software 'VirtualDUB' also does the job...

But if you're not that familiar with such stuff then you'll have to go for a commercial version which may be very straight forward and simple of what it does.. (There may be software which has 5800 presets that means one click conversion... Very easy indeed... But you'll have to pay... or you'll have to search for torrents which has cracked versions or serials..)

Unfortunately I'm using 'Handbrake' and 'VirtualDUB' only... So I can help you with them only.. But you'll have to do bit more home works about video conversion before using those software I suppose...

I can't find you on fb. I entered your email address but there is no results. And wow, you named your phone. Cool, I never think of that one too. Lol. About the opda cert. site, I applied once and within 24 hours, I got my cert and key at opda site. And I hacked my phone too then updated it to v31. The apps that our friend Nuwan told us are all awesome. I love the TTPod 3.70, the Widgetizer, Netqin apps, and a lot more. :)

Dear Jett,

what you're experiencing about opda - taking days and days applying for cert and key - happened to me too, ..but for me that's over a month ago til i dont have the patience to wait and i stopped going to their site, i didnt know then that cert and key is important for signing apps..and then few days ago, i visit the opda site, still no cert and key..i applied for it again them BAMM!! after a minute or so, i finally got my cert and key..

so maybe you just want to do applying for cert again but i dont guarantee you to have it the same way i have..

i just hope you get yours :))

we sure are all happy to know that you went for 5530.
welcome to the 5530 world..now you too can enjoy it's beauty.

i was then also hesitant whether to get 5800 or 5530. after all the reviews i finally decided that 5530 is what i want, really..
when i was in the nokia store i asked for them both, the guy from nokia took 5800 out first but i immediately handed it back to him when he took the 5530 out of the box, got the unit in hand and paid for it at once. that was love at first sight i believe, i've given her a name, i call her 'Francesca'. Love to share the story because my friends really find it cool and funny after knowing about it..

i dont have an idea about which application to use to convert the video and what size.. let's wait for brother Nuwan's response.

for all the 5530 users who have turned on their wi-fi on auto search please turn it off and you will get upto 50% more battery life ......... hope that i helped

hi Everyone before i got my nokia 5530 i used to read all your comments here and that is one thing i buy it,, n5530 is very cool actually i choice either samsung star wifi or nokia 5530 but i ended up with nokia 5530 coz i know with nokia i personalized everything specially the themes,, one thing that i want to know on how to move movies from my pc to my device and to convert it into small size

I'm pretty sure it's because of a software setting you've done recently without knowing the result of it... You may try uninstalling the recently installed applications of yours...

Hint: Most probably blocking SMS and calls are done by 'Anti Virus', 'Call manager', 'Blacklist', 'Tune up' software applications... You may try searching for those applications in your phone and change the settings.. Obviously this will require bit more patience... (For us, it's very difficult to say an exact reason without seeing the phone itself...)
