anay, 29 Jun 2010hey guys i m thinking of buying nokia 5530 express music ca... morePros: nice wifi, good sound and video quality, texting is great(once you get the hang of it), some awesome apps, touch screen is quite responsive unlike some similar models, good camera, video recording is quite impressive for a 3.2MP camera.
Cons: No 3G and GPS, it is a bit slow in my opinion, battery life is kind of suckish (i charge my phone every 2 days), poor indoor photo quality.

Its me again !! I finally managed to download some utilities from Ovi store yday without the certificate expired problem. I am not sure if i will be able to download from other sites as i havent tried it yet. I did it without using HelloOX2. I just updated my software/firmware and changed the year from 2010 to Jan 2007 and changed it back to 2010.
Now that i am able to download, i wanted to ask which browser is better - firefox or skyfire. Is it the same thing or different? There are these 2 options in ovistore. Do let me know.. and thanks for all your help and time..

tantrik, 28 Jun 2010hey i faced prb with the video center . videos r not playe... morethat's not a flaw with the video center, it's the way it was intended to be, it's really a big help if you watch movie in it - start from where you left off.. To watch music videos or others use real player instead

Amazing Phone. Highly Recommended. I think its the best nokia phone in the market ( relative to price). If ur about to bye a new phone , just by nokia 5530. Its Outstanding. Contact ME For details.

Thank you very much for your link... Yeah.. it looks great if it was real... But we have to wait for the others comments in order to make sure whether it really works or not...
Even though it's working, I'm bit afraid to go for it due to following reasons...
1) The performance changes it promises are almost impossible.. (Not realistic... I've got doubts...)
2) Custom firmware are not really successful all the time... There's a great chance that you will be end up with a dead phone..
3) I'm already satisfied with my hacked phone which is sufficiently stable and fast enough for the hardware features it has.. I don't want more performance from less hardware because it's not really practical... (When we gain something, we'll definitely loose some thing we really want...)
4) Steps of installing custom firmware are not really simple.. Complicated procedures can always cause troubles..
However thanks for the link again... And be careful if you decided to go for that.. It's good that you try... But be aware about the consequences too...

updated my phone 2 weeks ago and experienced some bugs..like continued backspacing even if im not pressing it anymore, i just did a reinstall of the update and havent encountered any problem eversince. Phone's working smoothly. It might help you too :)

newbie, 28 Jun 2010tnx a lot kkkabirkkk! how about this debranding thingy? imm... morewhen you buy phones under contract, the phone is bundled with OS modified by the network provider mostly to restrict you from using sim cards from other service providers..along with this some other features may also be locked like wap browsing, app installation etc..
Debranding means replacing this OS with the one originally intended for the phone thus removing all the restriction to your phone..
'unlocking' term is also used for debranding
