montu, i would like to answer those 3 questions,
1. you cannot watch those in 5530,
2. what he means hackable is that you can debrand it, meaning you can customize the phone b yourself and remove what nokia has made into it, LIKE ICONS FONTS, ETC,

MONTU, 22 May 2010thnx buddy, thanks u vry mch... dis really help me alot... ... moreDear MONTU,

You're welcome brother... It's always a pleasure to help another human being..
One more thing brother... I forgot to comment on 'Kinetic scrolling' & 'Touch Screen Response'

Kinetic Scrolling: Yeah.. You're correct.. With it's newest firmware update, Kinetic scrolling in 5800 is great now.. It has got that in main menu too...! That's really awesome... I would love to have it in my 5530 as well.. (Most probably we'll be given it with the next firmware update)

Touch Screen: 5530 touch screen is more sensitive than that of 5800 and it's pretty noticeable.. Previously some people said, this will be cured through the next firmware update.. But no... It's not possible... Touch screen responsiveness is completely hardware based matter.. 5530 and 5800 have different hardware so they are different in touch response.. Software update can't improve that I'm afraid..

Before you buy Nokia 5530 you better concern on the weak points of that mobile too...

          Lack of GPS and 3G
          Poor battery
          Back cover easily get scratched

But 5530 front (with its stainless steel frame) is great looking and whenever I clean it, that shines like brand new even after several months of my hard use..! On the other hand, we can't say the same regarding plastic made 5800... But back cover of 5800 is way better than that of 5530..

            V8, 22 May 2010Dear Nuwan.. A small question for u ... I cant play any ... moreDear V8,

This mobile is capable of playing even high resolution FLV video files... So it's very strange why you can't play FLV media in your 5530...

I think you've not still updated your firmware... If you have, then you must be given an update to 'Flash' as well.. As I remember the newest 'Flash' update was version 3.1 and you better check whether you have it our not..

Go to Menu - Applications - SW update
Then check whether there is an update for your mobile firmware as well as for Flash...
If there is, just update it..
Then try playing the same files again...

            Good luck brother...

six_stringer, 22 May 2010Brother Nuwan, My goodness, what a long explanation to him.... moreDear brother six_stringer,

Here are the answers for what you asked.. (according to best of my knowledge)

              1) I really don't know about 'Boingo' I only know that it's something related to 'Wifi' but have never really found that was a much needed software for my mobile... If it was pre-installed and if still you can remove it, then why worry...? If you really think it's not something useful to you, then remove it.. (WIfi in 5530 works good enough without that so called 'Boingo')

              2) If the protective cover upon the camera lens is not badly scratched.. Then you better keep it as it is.. Even though there are minor scratches on it, it doesn't really affect the photo as much as we think it would. (This is not an SLR camera anyway...!) Most important thing is brother, to keep the protective cover of front screen..

              3) Actually I'm still using the old version of TTpod.. I tried this 3.7 once but couldn't make it as I was given the error message 'Constraints by the certificates' or something when I tried to install the English language file... (Though my mobile is properly hacked... Very rarely I still experience such error messages.. Very rarely...) I couldn't read the letters, so I had to uninstall it and install the previous version... But after this trial, I experience some weird thing... TTpod new version installation has affected the sound quality of 360ting player...! I know it sounds ridiculous... But it's true... I've experienced that these 3rd party players affects one another but those effects are temporary... But this has been permanent even after I reinstall the older version..! As I love 360ting player I'm so angry with TTpod about it...! (However any 3rd party application couldn't affect default nokia player yet..)

                    Dear Nuwan..

A small question for u ... I cant play any videos i downloaded from Youtube in my 5530.. even when i drag & drop them to the galery from my pc it says the format is not supported .. then I tried sending the video's straight to the memory card.. I could save them in the memory card but cant play it. Isn't FLV format supported in 5530 ?? is there any way to work around this ?? Thanks

Nuwan, 22 May 2010Dear MONTU, I'm sorry that nobody has replied for exactl... moreBrother Nuwan,
My goodness, what a long explanation to him.I'm pretty sure he will buy the fone n join us 5530 lovers.
By the way brother, sorry on my last post,I meant to say smart movie and not LCG.Now i know how to convert avi's for the smart movie player. It should not be more than 15fps.
I have some few question here bro,and i hope you can help me.
1.What is the use of Boingo,i found this pre-
installed on my 5530.If it is not usefull,i will
                        remove it?
2.Do i need to remove the protective cover of my
                        camera lens or no need?
3.I got the TTPOD v3.7 from dotsis but the spectrum
analyzer is not showing on the now playing screen
even though i already checked on the setting?Have
youexperienced that?Is there any solution that you
                        can tell me brother?

Yeah brother i'm experimenting still on this unit,I love it so much and always careful for it.I even bought a strap because whenever i'm holding it,i feel that it may come out or slip from my palm.

Thank you brother for all your help...
                        Cheers!!!

MONTU, 20 May 2010Hey, i hv lots of ques abt dis ph... ìs d muzic qua... moreDear MONTU,

I'm sorry that nobody has replied for exactly what you've asked... I'll try to do so in my best.. I think I can do that as I've got both phones right beside me... (However I can't comment on Nokia C6 as I've never even touched that mobile...)

No.. The camera, Music and all other features you've asked are not exactly same in both 5530 and 5800... I'll explain it very briefly...

Music Quality: 5530 is better as it has superb stereo cross talk... However volume of 5800 is little bit louder than 5530.. But quality wise... No doubt.. 5530 wins.

Speaker: 5800 has the louder speakers. But 5530 delivers more quality sound (specially stereo).

Camera: 5800 has the better camera. You can take great photos from 5530 too if you do some research and select the best manual settings. But by default 5800 shots are better.

Screen size & resolution: I don't have to say 5800 has got bigger screen. But colors are totally different. 5800 has some bluish accent while 5530 has some yellowish accent. (I like the latter personally.) Both phones are OK to watch videos. You won't feel much of a difference between the two screen sizes. Instead you'll love the higher no of pixels (i.e. Resolution) of 5530. (It's screen looks much crispier than 5800 screen.)

TV Out: I wonder whether most of the people who buy 5800 use that feature. For an example, I don't. You can use your TV to watch the contents of your mobile. That's simply it. But when you have computer beside you, I just wonder why anybody wants to plug his/her phone to TV. (Yeah.. There are people still want this feature anyway... No offense please...)

Note: TV Out functionality has nothing to do with TV channels...! Some Chinese counterfeits of Nokia phones have that TV receiving feature... But most of Nokia phones don't... (As to me, Nokia has published only One TV mobile so far.. Only one..)

Hanging problems: I don't think there exists a huge difference between 5800 and 5530 as far as we concern about hanging... Previously 5530 was solid than 5800... But with the new firmware, 5800 has developed a lot and now both mobiles are pretty much solid.

Price: I don't think it'll be helpful if I am going to comment about this because I'm from a different country.. (I'm from Sri Lanka...) Actually these days 5800 is considered out dated in Sri Lanka so we can see lots of adds to sell that mobile... On the other hand, 5530 was not sold as 5800 had been... Anyway, the people who bought 5530.. I don't think they've got complaints about it... (Including me...)

We've got 3G and 3.5G in Sri Lanka so it really matters to decide between 5530 and 5800 for those who wants those features in their mobiles... I am OK with 3G but not ok with the cost (!) so I don't really wanted it in my mobile.. So I first went with 5530 and was pretty happy with it... (and still very happy...)

Recently I bought 5800 (second hand) only because someone sold it very cheaply... Now I've begun to like it too...

                          HOWEVER...
Personally, I like 5530 rather than 5800.. Because,

First, I'm a Music lover so I want the Perfect sound quality (which is in 5530)...

Second, I don't like the size of 5800... (I feel like carrying a brick in my pocket.. I wish even 5530 was thinner...!)

Third, I can install anything I want in 5530 but not in 5800... (Because 5530 newest firmware is hackable but 5800 is not..)

Fourth, I love the screen colors and resolution of 5530 over 5800..

Fifth, I like the design of 5530... (Full touch, Stainless steel frame etc...)

Sixth, 5800 is older and everybody has it everywhere.. It's always feeling cool to use a unique and fresh phone..

The things I like in 5800 are,

                          Good battery (Better than 5530)
                          GPS
                          3G

Currently I'm using 5530 as my primary mobile that I carry everywhere... and 5800 as secondary one only when I want to use 3G for web browsing at home... (In office we've got wifi which is faster than 3G so I can use 5530 anyway...)

Think this will help for everyone who have doubts...

sagar, music quality of this phone is perfect, not really very loud, but clear, but still, its on the loud side, camera is not that good compared to other units, but, still on the good side, its worth the money,
