well, i have used mine for 5 months, am selling it now, it was good for me, but i couldn't handle my usage though, it restarts on me :D but very seldomly, didn't mind it :D, its good though, im getting an AINO :)))
review for 5 months

my ques iz - is d... moreIf you're not used to it you'll feel it's the same but it's not. i personally have used 5800 couple of times because few of my friends has it. some of those are slow, some are Ok ofcourse with the firmware update but i really am not satisfied with the experience at all.
touch experience in 5530 is still better to best of nokia touch phones.
yes you lack 3g and gps but look most of the phone users for example in the Phils doesn’t use 3G anyway so it is not actually necessary to have it in your phone.
And it does not make any big difference.
i am currently using a 3G nokia phone, and before this one i was using an SE phone also equipped with 3g
base on that points i still decided to go for 5530 over 5800.
i want that pure style and cool shape and size. screen is smaller but it gives better output than 5800 does(because screen resolution of the two are the same). sound is good, camera is good, it has wifi so you can enjoy fast internet in hot spots (faster than that of 3g).
it is still up to you buddy! hope these ideas helped.

it actually depends on wat kind of cell ur looking for the features u mentioned above are all present in the nokia 5800 but i wud only recommend that to u if it has s60 latest edd pre-installed however it's still to bulky and the 5530 is way more pocket friendly n has all of the features except for GPS so if size doesnt matter to u u can take the 5800 with s60 latest edd pre-installed if it does get the 5530 im sure v can liv widout GPS ;)

Did you just say that you're bored with Nokia 5530 because 'there are no applications...'?? If I talk about myself, I love this mobile just because it has got plenty of application support...!
I've installed more than 200 applications in my mobile (exact no must be very much more than 200...) and currently I have more than 100 3rd party applications installed... (I mean at the moment...) So are you sure about you're saying..?
This is a Symbian smart mobile... So there are software everywhere... If you can hack your mobile then everything will be yours... Visit www.dotsis.com then you will find hundreds of applications (free, cracked etc...) www.mobile9.com would be an alternative but I will always recommend dotsis...

There is no received SMS capacity limitation... But sent items will be limited to 999 SMS...
However it's recommended to use the memory card instead of phone memory as your SMS saving location... (Go to SMS and click options.. There you'll see 'settings'... Now you can change how many sent messages to be saved - maximum 999 - and where to save etc...)

Yeah... You're correct... PowerMP3 the version available in dotsis doesn't support landscape mode... For me this is not a big problem as I've always disabled the Sensors so that my mobile wouldn't change the view as I turn the phone... (By disabling that I've gain considerable performance... That's why...)
What did you mean by 'LCG Jukebox for AVI files...'? You mean 'Smart Movie'....? Yeah... That's true... Smart movie even newest version can't support full fps rates of AVI files.. Even for MP4 files the fact is true... The reason is, still Smart movie doesn't use the hardware video acceleration of the mobile... Default real player does use it.. So even the high fps videos that real player can play flawlessly can't be played in smart movie...
Hmm... You do experiment... But as I have always said... Please read the user comments before installing anything in your mobile... That's very important... Good luck brother...

the features i need r- best muzic quality, best camera quality, gud touch interface, big screen, wifi, best for gaming, high speed web browzing, support all apps, nt hanged too much, gud battery backup...
PLZZ GIVE ME SOME ADVICE... WHICH ONE HAS GOT ALL THE ABVE QUALITIES...?? Give ur brief advices...

Right now i'm on dotsis and i experienced those server problems but i kept on clicking the page that i want until i got there.
I got the powermp3 v3.7 from mobile9 and it's ok,sound is good.The only problem is it doesn't go for landscape mood if i flip the phone.I got also LCG jukebox for avi files but if your frame rate is more than 15fps,it lags.
That's all i can say at the moment,i'm still experimenting everything on it and so far i had no problem with the phone since i bought it.

Pls, can any user of 5530 answer this question asap?. I love playing game greatly and music listener..But my fear is that with only touchscreen, will it be a perfect choice for most of the nice game around and music? Because I like the screen and design of this phone.
