Also any idea where i can check the battery status? In Sony E phone it gives exact % of battery remaining. Is same thing available for Nokia?

Nuwan, 17 May 2010Dear Jett, For me I said... Staying with V 20 is the bet... morex6 has hardware butt0ns,the call and end keys are registerd with clicks. . At first i thought it was touch sensitive. .haha! But i hate the x6 for the bluish tint on the screen. .5530 has better color reproduction. . But n0thng cn really c0mpare AM0LED

Hi Nuwan, thanks for your contributions. I just realized that these days my phone restarts about 5times in a day. And it freezes a lot more especially when you receive many calls! I thought the new firmware (v20) had fixed that problem. Does anybody have a similar problem or any solutions? Thanks

I was thinking of getting this but ive seen the pics of the new c6 but i dont know how much it is... please someone help!!! Also i can't find any specs. for it can anyone recommend a website with info.

I visited the website you said.. First most experience was not nice to me... I was told about a theme which looks like Symbian 3 but it was not like that.. And there are no User comments etc... So I still prefer dotsis even with 'Server is too busy' error message... Specially because it has got so many genius people and we can find almost everything there...
No brother... PowerMP3 seems to use the default browser but really it is not... I'm telling you because the sound is different... For me, PowerMP3 handles very high & very low frequencies in a different way... It's not crystal clear as LCG Jukebox or 360ting... But OK... (However at first PowerMP3 acquires the default equalizer settings of default player.. and both have same no of bands.. But they are not same...)
I really like 360ting player... So far the Best for me... Only problem is, it requires more RAM and hence more power..

For me I said... Staying with V 20 is the better option for me... Then I will wait for the hacking team to hack the new firmware... (it'll take a longer time than we hope I guess.. For an example two last firmware updates of Nokia 5800 are not hackable... Still they are not hackable...!) I have Nokia 5800 as well.. But I don't like it as much as I like this beauty... Not only because of the look and feel.. But also because it's not hackable so that I can't install what ever I want...!
Did you just ask 'Will 5530 have 3G after few updates...'? Are you kidding me or what...? No brother... 3G is something hardware based.. You can't expect any hardware changes via a software update... So we will NEVER be given 3G from any sort of a firmware update...
However I think you meant another Nokia phone which has the same design and look of Nokia 5530... Will that have 3G... Yeah.. I think Nokia will definitely consider that option... I think they released 'X6' for that.. It has exactly the same Audio chip Nokia 5530 has... (I am so sure about it... Please have a look at the Music Quality test results of GSMarena... They are Soooo identical in 5530 and X6...) And X6 doesn't have any buttons... It's full touch just like 5530... Additionally it has more features and it's expensive too...
However STILL... Nokia 5530 is the Smallest full touch screen Smart mobile at the market at the moment... That record will be there for some more time...

5530 user, 17 May 20105530 is alright. better than 5800 which i found little bulk... morewhen u receive a call, there will be two rows of line on the bottom of the screen. 1st one is green and 2nd is red, to answer the call just slide ur finger on green line to ur right and to reject call slide on red line to ur left.

5530 is alright. better than 5800 which i found little bulky. Have one query for the 5530 users- if your keypad is locked, how do i answer the phone? Missing the direct buttons to pick up or ignore the calls

5530 iz cheap, stylish, gud muzic, nd very cheap... i.e of 10k
nd on d othr hand... dis c6 got 5 M.P camera, 3G, gps, 3.2' screen...
nd cost 13k
so cn nebuddy tel me which ph shud i buy...? ?

You're right brother,i can not access dotsis the previous days that's why i ended up to that website,i got the paintpad,powermp3,digia,photobrowser,googlemaps and other things.the power mp3,it says v1.17 but when i was installing it says v1.14 and it's not compatible it says when about to install but i installed anyway.when i tried,there are things that i don't like,it has only 8 band equalizer and it uses the default nokia equalizer,so i remove it.i'll try from dotsis maybe i get the right one and try.
And brother,don't go please....we need you here...you are our genious...

This phone is a great phone,with its size and its sensitive touch screen,the quality of the stero speakers are very good indeed but the volume is not when it comes to xpress music.overall this phone is a very good phone,the only set back for me is there is no 3g on this phone.

i buyed this nokia 5530 2-3 days back and am suprised and shock to know that the battery life is not good as its written in here 27 hrs???? it dont even work for 8 hrs well yesterday i recharged my phone at 4pm IST till 5 pm iST and i was not listening to any music, no wifi, just was msging and msging to my friends and was talking to someone on phone for around 30 mins and then at 2 am night the phone battery came to 1 point i mean i am shocked wat the hell has happened i only hav 1 good theme of avatar and its not animated still the battery is not as good as i thought i am really shocked and regret to buy this i hope someone can give me the solution

Hmmm. Looking for new phone and it ain't easy. So many options. I have a friend with a Nokia 5530 and i think that is what I am going to go for next. Looks great and is good enough for me. Yay. Really can't wait to but it... come month end come!!!!
