I have a nokia 5530 white and blue colour and the handset is just 2 months old and have started facing an issue whenever i make/recieve calls the phone switches off i have done a software update which has not helphed...My phone is now with nokia care for 15 days...but any solutions or suggestions please let me know....

Yeah brothers,i tried those ways but to no avail.i have already the OVI suite and i've tried it also.but if save the mp3 file to my phone memory,there it is,it will got to my music library.now i'm planning to delete all those files and reformat my memory card maybe it will work.
Yeah cyber_shot,i love also this fone bcoz of it's music quality but i hate it for being a slide and heavy/bulky.i like it's speakers,you really feel the stereo sound bcoz of the good and proper placement of the speakers.on headsets,very nice sound....luv it.but i have to go also for a touchphone now and that is N5530.

sandeep, 24 Apr 2010Nokia 5530 if u compare with samsung monte which samsung ha... morebut that's if you want multi-touch support. . . 5530 is a SMART phone. . . Monte just a feature phone, meaning less apps,games and stuff. . it's not even a BADA platform. . .

Nokia 5530 if u compare with samsung monte which samsung has recently launch it is 3 inches capacitive touch screen ,3g wifi and gps and 3.2 megapixel camera .and samsung has launched this phone for 8500 rs ..i think monte is better choice compare to nokia 5530

No... I don't think your memory card is corrupted... It's not a bug either...
The Music player's library does not refresh automatically.. So each and every time you put new songs to your memory card you should refresh the media library of the default Music player Manually...
Open the music player... Go to Music library... And click options then you'll see 'Refresh Library'
This will take some time depending on how many files you've got in your memory card..
If you have already tried that and if this is not the case, then as you said, it should be a bug... But I can assure you, I don't have that bug in my 5530 and it refreshes the media library when I order it to do so...

anil, 24 Apr 2010very very bad phone in this range iwill go with samsung proyou mean the corby pro. . .nah the UI is way too slow. . . it's my friends corby pro,nah typing in messages has a 1 sec delay

The c6 will almost have the same processing powers of the n97 and the 5530. . . but unlike the 5530 it'll have a full physical QWERTY keyboard (but for it's price, they will put out the on-screen virtual QWERTY :C) but I think this phone seems to be unfair. . . the C6 will have widget functionality but whereas it's just a Classic series phone, not any N series or Xpress music series. . . I just hoped that widgets will come to our devices, because it's more important than the usual contacts bar (you can't put appointments or your schedules in the contacts bar or vice versa) making it useless for me. .

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2010The 5530 is actually expensive because of dedicated music c... moreyes yes, but did you know when I tested the 5230's mono speakers they were great but I hated the f8cking color reproduction of the screen. . . too bluish. .. lols hahaha even to the x6. . .kinda weird. . . the 5530 produce yellowish colors. . but looks better. . . yes, but look how much the casing for a 5530 costs. . .it's so freakishly expensive. . . :C

Thanks for your sugges... moreWait for another year or so for Symbian 3 because C6 features same processor, same RAM, same OS (though with widgets screen) but has QWERTY pad as well and that QWERTY pad is going to put into trouble. Virtually, any extra hardware require more processing power but C6 has same as in 5530/5230/N97. So this phone shall perform damn slow as N97. But I am quite sure that Symbian 3 handsets will have more processing speed and so faster.
