I just decreased the Brightness. have to see how it performs now..

This is My First Phone and it has so many bugs :(
And i receive a lots of messages daily, so i dont want to listen those message sounds!!!Irritating for people in my home. so i used to turn off in my Previous Nokia 1110i, But here the phone's Display is not lightning up when a message is recieve, coz i have turned on the breathing light, so i am some time able to notify the messages.
And the Vibration in the Phone SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Nokia 1110i Performed a lot better than this!! When i am in college, i have to put the phone in silent mode, and so i turned on the vibration alert, but i am unable to notiy the vibratin alert for messages or Calls.. :(
Really It is Unlucky for me!
Yeah Nuwan and the Sound frm the EarPhones is Not that much Great, but is not that much bad too..It is average, by adjusting the settings, we can listen some what better.

Hi Nuwan! I was kind of thinking whether to buy or not this Nokia 5530. I'm an uber music lover that's why i was thinking this phone would suit my taste. Now, i'm a bit wondering if this phone is hard to handle/use especially when it comes to touchscreen?
and if u can,, would you please tell me your views upon this phone, just to get a image about this phone. :]

I installed google maps on my mobile(Nokia 5530 Xpress Music)
sometimes when open and click on my location it showing default UK location. and some times it shows the exact loaction where I am.
had any one faced this problem? if so please help me how to get out of this.

Go to menu - Settings - Application Manager - Installed apps
There scroll down and you'll see the themes you've installed... select the one you want to remove and click 'Options' and 'Uninstall/remove'
You might get the error message 'Low memory' or something... If so, connect the mobile to your computer through the data cable and use the OVI installer to remove the application/theme you want to remove... (That'll take sometimes to load if you've installed plenty of applications/themes... Don't worry about it...)

Oops... Your battery life is really terrible... Because for me it lasts more than that.. I did a test once in order to check my battery and the result was as follows... (As I recall...)
1) 2 hours of talking (calling)
2) 4 hours of Music
3) Half an hour of Wifi (internet browsing)
4) 20 SMS
With above usage, My phone remained 1 and half days... I personally think that's fair enough for a 1000 mAh battery in a 2.9" screen touch mobile...
So compared to my usage, your usage is really terrible... First check whether you have been given a Genuine Nokia battery... (I think you know how to check the 10 stars on the Nokia Sticker on the battery) and Reduce the screen brightness to a lower value.. (I've done so) Reduce the screen light on time... (mine is 15 seconds), Turn off wifi scanning (Search wifi manually when you want it...), Turn off bluetooth when you don't use it.., Turn off Touch screen vibration (If you don't want it..)
May be above simple tricks will be helpful...

I have to agree with your review... Though certain things have been exaggerated...!
Specially regarding camera, My feeling is, compared to the Apple iphone camera, 5530 camera is good enough... But compared to Sony Erricsson or Samsung mobile cameras Nokia cameras suck... That's true...
Second the In ear buds provided with the package is not so good as you said... I'm a music lover and I will not recommend these ear buds for any excellent Music experience... I'm telling you brother... You better buy a Senheizer (CX 500) or Creative (EP 830) (may be even sony) for listening to Real music in this mobile... You will never even turn to look at the default Nokia headset ever again...!

I don't really know why you've turned off the incoming message alert... Because you want to know whether a message comes or not... But yet you've turned off the sound... What do you want it to do for you...?
When it's ringing showing some sort of an animation it's totally natural as during the ringing phone is having some alert... But message is something different.. It's just a one moment thing and when you turn off the sound alert there will not be anything more but the 'Menu Breathing light'
I'm sorry... First I don't understand what do you wish the phone to do when a message receives... Do you want it to jump up and down or something...? (No offense please...) And second as I don't think this mobile will do something more for you specially when you want the incoming message alert also turned off...

Honestly speaking I don't think there's such difference between Nokia china made and Finland or Hungary made mobiles... Actually there can't be such a difference as Nokia strictly follows it's standards each and every Nokia factories all over the world...
Regardless of the country they're being made, the fact that they're come out from Nokia factories I'm pretty sure they all are same...
I also searched in Nokia forums where some Nokia exports have expressed their ideas about it, and all of them have told very very clearly that, Nokia wouldn't do such a thing... Quality control of Nokia should be exactly same in each and every factory they owe all over the world...
At last, did you ever think, why would such a reputed company as Nokia do such a thing...? Knowing that it'll reduce the demand for their own mobiles why Nokia would maintain such a quality difference...? For me, it's totally ridiculous idea and I'm pretty sure Nokia china made phones are as good as Finland made ones...
However when it comes to Market, China made Nokias are priced lower than the Finland made ones... You know why?
1) In china you can get high skilled labors for cheap salaries... For an example high skilled mobile technician you may get for 250-300 USD monthly salary in China... But in Finland you will have to pay for the same skilled labor more than 10 times as that...!
2) In order to promote foreign invests in China, government has reduced costs of so many things... Taxes, Electricity and all other facilities are very very cheaper in China compared to western countries like Finland..
3) Material wise... The same quality high standard material you'll get in Finland will not cost you 1/5 of the cost in China...
(above 3 reasons clearly shows why western companies like Nokia loves to go to countries like china for their investments...!)
4) There's one more reason for Nokia china made phones are sold cheaper than Finland made... Among people, there's a feeling that China Made mobiles are not that OK and Finland made ones are perfect.. This may be just a feeling without any facts or reasons behind... But this 'JUST FEELING' has a market value...! That has ultimate made a high demand for Finland phones and low demand for China made phones..
Now I think you understand what is the situation and why... If I were you I will not worry about going with Chinese made Nokia if I'm so sure it's Genuine Nokia... Specially when there's a huge price difference between two, Why wouldn't I take the advantage of that...?

you may try this one. go to settings-time settings-time zone.
from there you could choose the time zone where you are from. click and set again the time. hope it could help
