Hi,
I want to buy a Touchscreen and have a budget of Rs.10000. Please advise which is better Samsung Corby, Samsung Star Superb or Nokia 5530.

Though the new model is supposed to be better than the old one, it's not always like that..
However regarding these two mobiles I can say this... Hardware features like 'Touch Screen Sensitivity' and the 'Screen Brightness & colors' have been improved in 5530 compared to 5800... (I think 5530 is the most sensitive resistive touch screen mobile ever made... It's almost like a capacitive touch screen...!)
Other things you've asked...
There is no any upgrades in Camera... (It's almost the same...)
Music Player is the same... But Music quality has been improved in certain areas... (Eg: Stereo cross talk in 5530 is way better than that of 5800) However other aspects of the Music quality is more or less similar...
One more thing, 5530 has stereo speakers while 5800 doesn't... (That doesn't show a big difference thought...)

Yeah... What you said is almost true except for one matter...
Regarding your opinion on GPS... No dear... Sorry... You can't really aquire GPS positions using Google maps or OVI maps... That's not possible.. You can still use your mobile service provider's GPS positioning facilities (network based) but that's not accurate at all... However built in GPS in 5800 is not so impressive... I have to say that.. Because the accuracy is said to be 10 - 20 m and it's even below the average accuracy of normal GPS receivers we can see in the market...
I'm a very happy user of 5530 Xpress Music, you know what I did...? Few days ago I purchased a bluetooth GPS receiver which has 3 m accuracy (way better than 5800 inbuilt GPS) and I'm going to connect it to my 5530, whenever I want GPS... (I think you already know 5530 supports bluetooth GPS devices) It's very tiny device and carrying it wouldn't be a big problem... As soon as I get the device, I will tell you guys about my experience with it...
For all other matters, you're extremely right Miroo96... Because even I have 3G in Sri Lanka (which is my country) but I will not go with 5800 just for 3G... I don't wanna buy 3G by loosing a cool, thin and stylish look... (So, for me, I will always go with 5530 over 5800 regardless of 3G...) Anyway, I wish Nokia will launch a mobile in near future which has the same look of 5530, but with the features of 5800...! If it had the music quality of 5230 too, then that will be my dream phone...!!!

Nokia 5800 has kinetic scrolling now... (With the new firmware update) Do nothing to worry about that anymore... (However keep in mind that, touch sensitivity is same as it's hardware based...)

I think you better go with 5800... Though you wouldn't use 3G or GPS in Philippines... It'll always make you feel better when you think that your mobile has them... (You know what I'm saying... Right..?)
Regarding the very similar price tags I think it's not because there will be a 'bang' in near future which favors 5530 than 5800... (I don't really think something like that will happen...) But the thing is, 5530 materials (Stainless Steel frame, the different screen colors with different hardware touch sensitive layers) may have cost for Nokia rather than 5800 hardware... For me, that's the only reason why 5530 has been able to close to the price tag of 5800 even without having its full features...
However, I think you should go with 5800... That's my personal opinion after reading all your posts here... Both phones are really great... But for you 5800 will be better suited... Good luck brother..

Seems you've read my posts regarding pros and cons of both 5800 and 5530... If so, then I don't really have much to say here, as You're pretty convinced that you better go with 5800...
And because you asked me, I will also agree with you, Yes... You should go with 5800... With all it's features you will not get a better mobile for that price range so go ahead and buy that...
Nokia X6 is better than 5800 but still its price is not in an acceptable range I suppose... So 5800 is the best handset for you... Good luck Sister... (Suppose you're a girl)

-both of them hav 3.2mp camera,isn't the quanlity pic is same??? or the camera 3.2mp of 5530 hav been upgraped??

gps can be acquired by apps like ovi maps or google maps,,no need to be built in..and finally for tv out ,i don't think it's a must
on the other hand ,,5530 has kinetic scrolling which is by the way added to 5800 through update version 40,,and 5530 is thinner ,cooler and smaller...4 me it's 5530 if i had no 3g,,,but if i had 3g that would be a problem, i'll think it out..
and finally ,,i am not sayin exept the things i knw so i'd like it if anyone would correct ma mistakes...byez:D :D :)be well

OFcourse, 5530 has Wifi, but no 3G. Still 3G is not available in india except BSNL and in early stage.

dear brother Nuwan,
its just so bothering why they say 5530 is the cut down version of 5800 where as the price is almost the same. you know what im saying, it was quoted P10,400 in one of the retail stores that i know while 5800 is being sold for P12,200. well, to be perfectly frank im liking this phone with its lower price and almost the same features. but with nokia 5800's down to 12,000 cutoff price, having 3g, gps and tvout feature.....? hUUUUUHHHh! man! would you help me brother..?which one really is worthy to have... i like the sexyness and style of 5530 but i prefer gps,3g and tvout. i just dont know if i could really use 3g and Gps in manila....
another buddy, it reallymakes me think that there might be something in 5530 that will make a bang in the users in the future, that's why the price amost reaches 5800's. CHEERS!

i m a music lover want high quality music. i m confused between three mobiles 5800 XM, 5530 XM. i read all pros and cons of both. basically i like 5800 XM. Because its has GPS,3G,and 8GB dedicated MSD card more,battery life.
1. My ques is which phone i should go with.
2. I m new to nokia will it be ok to with 5800 XM. Bcoz not used 3G or Wifi but want complete mobile.
3. Is there any other phone in nokia fulfile all qwalities of both in cheap range upto 10000 Rs.
