Hello anyone who has used both nokia 5800 and 5530, can tell if nokia has improved touch functionalities in 5530? As 5800 touch is too bad... U have to drill down to makke touch wokr in it

I have had Nokia's for years.....i got this one for xmas and just hate it. I've always used Predictive txt but on this phone it's a nightmare. There are so many wrong words on it and I don't know how to clear them off. It's driving me insane...Any help or suggestions other than flushing the dam thing would be appreciated.

First of all I guess you're talking about the 'sis' application called "Youtube". Or else, please don't waste your time with the default youtube book mark, download the youtube application from web (search google. You'll find it within a moment...) and install it in to your mobile...
If your wifi internet connection is fast enough to load a you tube video then youtube files should work just fine now..
However have you installed 'Kaspersky mobile security' in your 5530? If 'Yes' then turn off the firewall or decrease the firewall strength to medium or law. Then again check wheather Youtube will load correctly...
One more suggestion... May be you've not installed latest flash lite in your 5530...
Go to menu - applications - SW update
Click on it and you'll find software updates like 'Python' and 'Flshlite' etc together with some useless stuff too...
Select what you want only, then download (or update) them... (It'll take some time.. Please be patient..)
Now restart the mobile and check the 'Youtube' application again... Now it should work just fine... (Even with great quality youtube videos... - I don't really have to say your internet connection should be sufficient Right...?)

hi people. i have my phone for 2 months now,but my phone doesn't play youtube video's.when i open the application it doesn't download.it just stays at zero procent.it writes: not able to connect. but other sites do open.i have wireless internet and the wifi of the phone works good.can anyone help me? please......

Just bought a Fiio E3 headphone amplifier for my 5530 and now all the low volume complaints that i had are now gone! Awesome awesome device, if you want that volume boost or 5530 max volume too low for you, you can check out the E3 or E5. I bought the E3 cause it's half the price of the E5 but E5 is newer though.
Compared both 5530 and 5520 with Fiio E3, same headphones. 5530 handles the amp better than 5220, 5530 sound quality and volume increased dramatically, while 5220 just increased the volume but sound quality became unbearable (It probably depend with the headphones though).

However remember following things too...
1) After installing this applications YOU MUST DISABLE ALL THE APPLIED PATCHES IN ROM PATCHER...! This is essential becuase otherwise your phone will start to restart all the time when you try this application...
(It seems there's a huge conflict between the HelloOX2 patches and 'Ramblow')
Hei... Luisito, this call is also for you... I sent you 'Memory Up pro' but believe me, it's nothing in front of this software... Just try it and see it by yourself...
Anyway, I am still checking on it... It does its job well so far... Will update you guys with more details later...

JF, 02 Feb 2010 Hi, someone knows why the 5530 cannot be connected by... moreI used to get connected to infinitum wireless in an easy way, now(even in the same) Im receiving the same message as you but sins I update to 20.0, but not in all infinutum access points, maybe I must make a reset... can anybody tells what kind of resets doesnt delete my programs and apps?.. cause in the respald copy the apps doenst remain visible, but the apps administrator find them in folders not in apps widget

I'm sorry if I have hurt your feeling... Just posted my opinion that's all... But let me clear about few things in your post... (Because the people who read these post deserve to know the facts and figures as well...)
1) If you find 5800 is sexier than 5530 that's totally ok because it's a subjective matter... But when I said 5530 is thinner, lighter and smaller than 5800 who could refuse that...? I mean those are facts...! (have a look at specifications if you haven't still seen both phones...)
2) Difference in releasing dates of 5800 and 5530 is only 5 months... (That is what you said..)
But according to GSMarena,
5800 announced: October 2008
5800 released: November 2008
5530 announced: June 2009
5530 released: August 2009
I'm not using glasses...! But even if I bought a new pair of specs, I will read the difference between the releasing dates as 8 months..! (Correct me if I'm wrong..)
3) I really feel sorry about your final statement "5800 is for rich people and 5530 is for middle class..." This is the first time I heard something like that...! In our country the difference between 5800 and 5530 is very little and in India it's upside down... (5530 is expensive than 5800) So I would say, it depends upon the preference rather than the class of the people...!
(Didn't you know 'Warren Buffett' doesn't even carry a cell phone though he is one of the top billionaires in the world...?)

Go to settings - Personal - Home Screen - Home Screen Theme and select 'Contacts Bar'
That should solve your problem.
(The mini player of the Default music player only works with 'Contacts bar' home screen theme and that's a big disappointment..)
