Hi, someone knows why the 5530 cannot be connected by... more
Yes i also have the same issue, Its like a restriction by Telmex on the mobile connections, a think that there is a service that need to be contract of infinitum mobile. whatever i supose the you need to pay Home connection + Mobile connection.
i hope the information inspirate someone to add a 100% correct answer.

appear an error ( No Gatway answer ).

hi here i read somoné's opinion that he is saying 5800 is thick ,old ,ugly and 5530 is new sexy thn etc etc,,,,...plz cnfrm befor writing...diffrnce in releasing date bt 5800 and 5530 is just 5 monthz and it is nt ugly thck phone ...i thnk u shld buy new glasses because they r old now....5800 and 5530 are of same platform ...5800 for rich ppl and 5530 for middle class ppl so no comparison

Nuwan r u feeling shame to say straight forward nokia 5800 is crap and shit phone there are 1000 reason for that like hanging ,screens flickrs,memory card corrupts,slow touch ugly big look ,non moving widget,etc etc etc,i suffered like any thing i used to think like you twice i purchased and sold bcoz of all problems now there are many samsung mobile are there u just c samsung m5650 fabulous phone chk camera quality in nokia 5mp cam look like 1.3mp i was ardent fan of nokia inmy family we have atleast 8 different nokia phones out of that 5800 is most shit be frank and open u r not sout asia head for Nokia ok,,,,,,,,,,don t be very smart :)

Everyone do check out this application 'RAMblow', it's a RAM managing application and is quite impressive, gave me 47.8mb ram on my 5530, after a cleanup, while i used to have around just 40mb after a restart which quickly plummeted down to around 30mb after sometime and after launching few applications and closing them ram down to just 20mb, now this application is just a blessing..
I was just going through news at newsnow site and got this from some site, i don't remember, so sorry ilm unable to give direct you the link..

sujith, 02 Feb 2010hey nuwan u there ...??can u plz say some thing abt the new... moreCheck the 'News' section of Gsmarena, there's news about the platform, and it seems we wont be seeing symbian^2 but symbian^3 directly as confirmed by CEO or something like that of Nokia Taiwan. Whenever a new paltform is developed, it's released on new devices, maybe he meant that symbian^2 won't be coming on new devices. As symbian^2 is almost complete and ready to be released, it's possible that it'll be ported to only older symbian^1 devices i.e our devices, now that all s60v5 devices have more or less stable OS( even n97 & n97mini), they might just be ready for an upgrade, but everyone's still unsure. Symbian foundation has done it's job it's upto nokia now.

i have used the phone. the phone is amazing like any...the output of the speaker sounds will come in 4 way... hello one more thing they r giving with n97 handsfree.....

2) Better screen colors & brightness
3) Thin and Light
4) Unique design with stainless steel frame (have a rich look)

As anybody can see, if you're looking for a feature rich phone regardless of the facts that it's big, thick, quite old in market and bit ugly in design; then you should go for 5800 definitely...
Or else, if you are looking for a unique new design with a sexy, rich look regardless of the facts that it lacks the features like 3G & GPS and it's battery is somewhat poor, then you should go for 5530 definitely...
It's that clear...! Why all you guys are shouting here in 5530 forums that 5800 is better and bla bla...! I love my 5530 and I wouldn't go to 5800 and shout there 5530 is better and sexy looking...! That's just silly...

Hi all. 2day i tested it at npd..i swear. Phone looks nice in hand. Screen is brighter and sharper than 5800. Bt kinetic scrooling is not supported in menu..sound quality is nt so gud or louder in headphones or through the speakers..hmm bad phone..believe me its true or see by urself

hey all nokia dropping prices of all phones 5230 will be cheaper by a few hundreds hope this phone also becomes cheap!

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2010question. which would you prefer? 5800 or 5530? quality wis... moresomebody will say to you that with new software update 5800 now is better than 5530 but as you now the update doesnt make your phone lighter(in grams) and with a better feel in hand and doesnt make the blue screen be better than 5530, and the screen even if its begger is nos as creal as 5530, scrolling is still better on 5530. well less bulkiness doesnt come with software updte 40.0. pd in my country 5800 cost 590 dlls and 5530 250 dlls so they selling 3g and 4 gb more for too much money

Anyone here if are wondering about the symbian countdown @http://countdown.symbian.org then they are counting down the defects of symbian^2 that are getting fixed before releasing the platform. The 'Release council' of symbian had sponsored a 'Defect scrub' to fix all the bugs and defects of the platform by the help of different volunteers from different org like docomo, fijutsu, symbian foundation, digia etc. They had started on 3rd week of jan 2010 with around 160+ defects and they seem to have fixed or propagated many and are down to 36 as indicated by the countdown at http://countdown.symbian.org .
