N, 25 Jan 2010NUWAN, 1.is there any major difference between made by n... moreDear N,

                            1) No... As far as I know there's no major difference between made by Nokia and made in Finland phones... (I doubt there is any minor difference even...!) Many people say there are quality wise issues... But as a person who has used both kind of phones I really don't think it's true... If it's a nokia phone, there should not be any difference based on 'made in' countries because all the factories are belonged to Nokia and quality control and everything is well maintained regardless of the 'Country' fact...

** There are some offers with some made in china Nokia phones.. For an example for Nokia N95 for made in china phone, they gave some extra like 'protector casing' or something... and the box looked bit different from the rest. Like wise there may be very minor differences in the package but those can't be considered as major quality wise issues...

(Somebody correct me if I'm wrong...)

Sellers in our country would sell 'Nokia Finland' & 'Nokia Hungary' phones normally with a higher price tags and they complain 'Nokia China' phones are not sold at all... But this is totally subjective and so many people like to have either Finland or Hungarian phone though they know there's no any difference... (Ex: Myself..! I bought a Hungarian 5530 by paying extra 30 dollars than made by Nokia 5530...! Stupid right...?)

                            2) Not only made in Finland phones... All Nokia phones come with 1 year warranty... But it's not like the International warranty that you'll be given for Hp Laptops... Nokia company gives the 1 year warranty to the seller (I mean the intermediate sellers who buy mobiles from Nokia and sells to you people) and those sellers give that warranty to you. If it's Nokia care center then the things are rather simple.

                            BUT...

If you buy a Nokia mobile from any seller around and comes with it to the Nokia care center, they'll not consider it as a warranty claim.. They will kindly tell you to go to the original seller who sold the mobile to you... (Because Nokia has already granted the 1 year warranty to your particular phone to that seller and now Nokia is free of responsibilities regarding your mobile...)

In my case, my mobile was brought from Singapore and still have the warranty... But due to the reason I can't go to Singapore to claim the warranty it's like I'm holding a phone which doesn't have warranty... (When I asked Nokia care center they said you'll have to go to the original seller...)

So as you can see, literally all the 5530s out there must still have warranty... (Because the mobile was released August 2009 so even the oldest 5530 in the world has the warranty still...) But the thing is you can't claim it unless you go to the original seller.. I think you got my point...!

There's no difference or priority change in this regard even if your mobile is made in Finland... (Correct me if I'm wrong..)

If an application is referred "Free" that should be completely free... No adware, No shareware, No spyware nothing...

You're talking here about adware, shareware and spyware applications.. (Basically if any application views adds then it's an adware regardless of the fact it's free of charge, if it gives you some time to try then it's a shareware trial application, if it connects to internet - probably with your information - even without your notice, then it's a spyware...!)

So get rid of those software... If you don't mind using illegally cracked software (which are free after the cracking procedure of course...!) then click on following link (if you don't have an account, please register.... It's free..) you'll get plenty of applications for your 5530... (Games, themes and any other software...)

Thanks for your reply brother... Yes.. I already tried Vmenu and it's a very nice application... It was not that slow as my phone and worked quite well too... But due to a reason unknown to me, it doesn't work in my mobile any more... I think the problem is the conflicts with other software such as "taskman" that I installed later.. So now I'm going to uninstall Vmenu even though it's something I really liked... (What to do...?)

Hei...! Thank you very much for your information regarding Symbian OS... Because that's something I heard for the first time and now am surprised to the top...! Because our mobile belongs to Symbian OS 1 and there are other 3 versions like Symbian 2, 3 & 4.

I went through the web site and found out Symbian 1 includes only in very few mobiles... (Nokia 5800, 5530 & N 97, Sony Ericsson Satio, Samsung Omnia HD etc...)

And more... Symbian 2 is an extension of Symbian 1 and it has improved features than Symbian 1. Symbian 3 is featured than 2 etc... (Symbian 4 hasn't even been released yet...)

Now I'm wondering, if we are using the first of Symbian OS... What about the following phones such as N73, E65, E66, 5630, 5730, N79, N82 etc...??? They are often called as "Symbian phones" but obviously not belong to the category Symbian 1...!

Then has there been a Symbian -1 (minus one) as well?

Please anybody clear this to all of us...
