Hei... Nice to hear from you again... Yes.. As you said, 'Skyfire' could be somewhat slow in slower connections but for me, I have a fair internet connection so I don't feel such a slow response in it...

However it still may have things to be fixed as it's still a beta release... The most important thing is, it can even handle very heavy flash animations that Opera mobile or default nokia browser can't...! I find it very impressive....

    If you're browsing using the default browser you should be able to play youtube files in it...
    Check whether you've latest flash version installed in your mobile... (or else download and install the latest version.. You can do it through your mobile itself...)

    And try the 3rd party browser "Skyfire". It's not the overall best browser... But as far as you concern about Youtube videos.. Then that's the best...

    But the perfect solution of all is "install the youtube.sys" application in your 5530... You can google it (actually it's a google software..) and download to your mobile then install... Very easy... And you'll be amazed "How come 5530 capable of playing such quality youtube this fast..."

    Hei... I suppose first of all you have a good internet (wifi) connection nearby...!

      5230 has the overall Better Music quality... (According to GSMarena test results as well as my own experience) But 'Bass' Reproduction in 5530 is better than 5230..

      Camera quality definitely 5530 wins... It has 3.2 MP camera (with very good wide screen video recording capability) while 5230 has only 2 MP camera with very performance...

        Well... Music quality wise I don't think you'll find a big difference between 5800 and 5530... (Almost similar music quality test results in GSMarena for both phones...)

        But camera, 5800 camera is better than 5530... Even though both cameras have same 3.2 MP, 5800 has carl zeiss lens unlike 5530...

        I'm afraid there are so many noticeable differences between 5800 and 5530... (5800 has 3G and GPS which 5530 doesn't have... And 5530 has a sexier look than 5800) Well... that's up to you friend...

            You are right brother... I also face the same problem with unlocking key after the V 20 firmware update... Sometimes it unlocks but with a considerable delay... Very rarely it can restart the mobile as well... But very rarely it happens.. But I kind of let it to be forgotten by acknowledging the things I've earned from the same update...! (This bug will be solved with the next firmware... I hope...)

              This is not the first time I heard 'My firmware update was not successful and phone never started again' regarding 5530. I don't really know about this because I didn't face this...

              I always think Nokia has provided the firmware update option to the user, because it's very safe and anybody can follow it easily... However with those issues... well... I don't know brother..

              I've updated several phones so far, and never faced such a problem luckily.. I still think updating firmware shouldn't do any trouble literally.. But I can't assure you...

              I kind of think that may be the bug is with the 3rd party software you've installed in your mobile... sometimes they may be giving troubles to the process of firmware update... Interruptions and all...

              Hei... Why don't you 'Hard' reset your mobile (back up your private data...) to the factory settings (format your memory card too...) and then Update your firmware...? That's the safest and best way as to me..

                I'm sorry for the issues you have... Seems it's not an issue of the previous firmware as you already have the latest... In this context, I think this is because one or more software that you've installed later on... (I mean 3rd party software) or else may be you have some particular problem in your mobile... (not a common issue for all 5530)
                Wait... One more thing.. Is your phone memory is enough...? Do you always get the message telling 'not enough memory'. Then the problem could be that..
                Please check whether you have enough memory left (at least 30 - 35 MB) in your phone memory as well as the memory card (at least 200 MB)

                One more solution... Did you try removing the memory card and using the mobile to check whether the issue is with the memory card...? If so, Try formatting your memory card... You'll lose all the software you've installed to the memory card.. But it's worth to try because once you've got a crappy hogging application in memory card phone tends to restart by itself... (I've faced it and until I format the memory card it didn't solve the case...)

                As the final option, just back up your data (not all... Only private data like SMS, contacts etc..) and hard reset your mobile... (Not soft reset... I mean the 'hard reset') Don't forget to format your memory card also..

                Even when you have enough memory left, you sill face the issues then the best option is to claim your warranty and ask for a solution from the Nokia care center... Good luck brother...

                      hey, i've been using this phone for a month now and the only thing that kinda bothers me is the loose back cover (could be that only I have this problem) and quite poor battery performance.

                      Does anyone know if there's a stronger battery, compatible with this phone, on the market?

                        Can anyone from Bangladesh confirm the firmware update issue? I bought this phone from local market without any warranty. Should I go for update by myself or should I take it to Nokia Customer Care?

                          Nokia officials are liars and Nokia 5530 is still not available in India and even those officials who conduct press meet in various cities does not know when this phone be available in India.
                          One official said it may be during 2nd week of Feb 2010 but he is not sure about the exact date.

                                        Dear Nuwan,

                                        thanks for the reply. I already did the hardreset.and the phone's working just as fine.at first there were few screen freezes. but removing the battery solved the problem :D thanks again..
