Someone has commented about a 5 minutes of start up which is ridiculous... I also had the same trouble few weeks ago and I had to format may memory card and hard reset my phone in order to get the proper condition back...
This very slow start up is a result of so many garbage software in your phone... We always try so many different different applications all the time and sometimes we don't even know what do they do... We just want to check them out and if we're not satisfactory we just remove them...
Some of them have start up features which adds some underneath processes to the phones start up... (Just like in your computer...) Some of these start up processes are required (for an example anti virus real time process) but most of them are not really essential... They just exist and slow down the whole start up procedure of the mobile even without giving us any chance to know what are they... (Specially with patched and cracked versions of software has that weakness and we have to be careful with these..)
Sometimes even we remove the program, the start up entry could be still there slowing down the overall performance.. So actually there's no way of making sure what program has caused the slow down.. May be one, may be two or more...
So if you don't want any bandage solutions and if you want complete fix, then you MUST hard reset your Nokia and format your memory card...
Then install the software that you really trust and you really want checking each of them one by one restarting the phone...

Your question "can't see the files in memory card in 5530" is not that clear to me but I think you've saved your files in a folder which can't be accessed by the default 'file manager'. (I think you know how to use default file manager... Right...? It's in menu - applications - file manager)
If you can't see the folders and files you've stored in your memory card using the above file manager then you should install "Y - browser" a free, 3rd party file manager... Using this applications you can see almost all the hidden files and folders in phone memory as well as memory card... Check whether now you can access your files...

Thank you very much for your reply... I tried all three applications in my mobile and two of them worked but the 'Mobitubia' player didn't open at all... (Though it installed well.)
I hadn't tried none of these applications that you've sent, however I've heard about 'coreplayer' as a powerful player for mobile devices.
But as to my disappointment, even 'coreplayer' couldn't handle high quality video files and it only gave me the sounds... It was clear to me that 'coreplayer' doesn't use hardware acceleration because the video file the real player can play without any lag, couldn't be played using coreplayer properly. Delays, breaks, no video at all... And it didn't even recognize flv files that in built flv player could play easily.
I would say "Smartmovie" is a better player than 'coreplayer' because it at least showed me the video out put and was not that slow as coreplayer... But still it doesn't use 'hardware acceleration' as the default real player... (I will send a copy of 'Smartmovie' to your email address...)
The installer program gave me some two trial applications that made me angry about it..! (It's kind of a shareware right..?) I can't say anything about the other player as I couldn't make it work for me...

I'm sorry for your troubles... I think for the first and second problems of yours will be solved by a hard reset of the phone... I think you know how to hard reset a Nokia and it's very simple... I've described the full procedure in a previous post, please follow it...
For the 3rd question of yours,
I'm sorry... As far as I know you can't do that..
You can't use your phones wifi internet connection for the internet requirement of the computer... If you connect the mobile through PC suit it will use the Edge internet facility instead of wifi...!
That's what I know (from online and from personal experience)
But... If that capability is available, it would have been great...
If there's anybody knows how to do it... Please share with us... I'm wondering aren't there any 3rd party software which can do the above...

Nuwan, 20 Jan 2010Dear luisito, about that ttpod mini player I've already ... more my friend nuwan!! I sent you 2 video players to your email well theres not only a single player can play all video formats but collect them and with 5 of them more or less you can play almost all formats. btw have you tried handwritten calculator? nimbuzz photobrowser, and paint pad, hey I cant installed a gdesk for n97 or htc etc. always tell me imposible to open file not admited(in spanish of course, remember my phone is in spanish thats I cant get clear the messages in read me tutorials :S take care ;)

I got it and was soooo happy but then i started to dowmload applications and u see they are saved onto ur memory card and then when u start it up it freezes on the nokia screen so to turn it on u have to remove the memory card and then start it up then once its on put it back in and then it takes like 5 mins to start up.....

Nokia 5530 is a superb phone, i bought it 10 days back and am loving it...the screen resolution is bright and clear, the shape is cool, browsing is fun thanks to kinetic motion tech..sound quality is excellent both in headphones and stereo speakers, texting is joyful because of 'feel the touch'...the battery is'nt really good but okai beacuse of such high performance....it gives a whole day of fun with one charge. Its really an iphone KILLER

about that ttpod mini player I've already commented on my review about Music players... however it's not that developed as LCG Jukebox... You'll realize it's kind of frustrating when you want to drag it over here and there... Not as easy as Jukebox mini player...
Regarding battery life, what you said is very true... So many people complains without appreciating what's this phone capable of and why the battery drains so fast... There are reasons.. We should understand...
(This phone doesn't have GPS, you've mentioned it has... But of course we can install google maps and navigate through maps as we want.. It's totally awesome...)

Thanks for your compliments brother... The version I sent you is in Chinese but the third step ('copy and paste the file') that is of course in order to change the language to English... It should work fine...
I mean for me it worked fine I don't know what wen wrong with your installation... I'm sorry brother... If you copy that file and paste it in the right folder (resources/apps) then the player should work in English... (Completely in English without any symbol or Chinese letter...)
Please try www.dotsis.com there are plenty of results for ttpod... However don't go over the version 3.51 because it's the latest according to the original site... The versions 3.7 or 3.6 should be fakes I suppose...
Yes.. What you said is true... With a bunch of applications installed... Now our 5530s are like Computers... Nobody believes this mobile is capable of doing this much of things...!
Hei.. How could you play any video file format...? Using smartmovie player or something else...? I have samrtmovie but it doesn't use the video hardware acceleration so the videos are extremely laggy... Do you have a player which is capable of playing any video format using the hardware acceleration of the mobile...? If you have one, can you please send it to my email address...?
