Nuwan, 20 Jan 2010Dear luisito, Thanks for commenting on my post... Yes...... moreIve just find out that minimising ttpod make a little widget too in main screen of 5530, and has sleep timer just watching some non understandable icons and signs... but there I go ;) some people are complaining about the battery life mine last 1,5 days and my laptop last 1.5 hours, but 5530 is phone, calculator, music player(walkman, ipod) camera video and pics, computer, I can chat on it, is convertor from time distance , change, temperature, edit docs, it wakes me up in t morning, is radio, agenda, video player, dictionary, gps with maps, psp gamer, etc... so the battery last or not?? for me is a lot 1 day and half 22 hour more than my laptop and some days last 2 days, and as is fun I doesnt know how many times Im pushing the screen all day, 2.9 inch screen is alot of power waste. so :) ??

Muhammad Ismail KMN, 20 Jan 2010Hi All,
Can anyone help me to format entire system on my... moreDear Muhammad Ismail KMN,
Formatting and restoring your Nokia mobile is very simple task.. You don't need any extra knowledge on it if you know what's happening...
OK... Here's what happening...
It will delete your entire private data in your phone memory... (Contacts, Messages, calendar entries, software you installed etc...) And it'll restore the default Nokia software that you could see when you just bought the phone... (In brief, after hard reset, you'll get your mobile just like when you just bought it...)
So, it's highly recommended you get a backup before hard resetting... Backing up your Nokia mobile is very easy... I only recommend you to use PC suit in order to do so... (Don't use phone's back up feature.. Not that reliable..)
Open PC suit and click on 'back up' icon... It will ask what to be backed up... You better not select all... Please select the most important things like Contacts, Calendar entries etc... Others don't mark... (Otherwise it will take a long time to backing up process... And if the problem is with your settings if you back up settings too, then the problem will again occur... So it's highly recommend only to back up contacts and calender entries...)
Now save your back up in your computer... Somewhere safe... And copy your private files in your memory card and format the memory card too... (This is very important... You Must format your memory card...)
Now everything is ready... Please check again 'is there anything you've forgotten to save or backup'. If everything is OK.. Now proceed with the hard reset...
Enter following code.
*#7370#
Phone will ask you the security code. The default one is 12345
Now let the phone to do the rest.. This is very important...
LET THE PHONE TO DO IT... DON'T INTERFERE... DON'T EVEN TOUCH THE MOBILE... IT'LL RESTART SEVERAL TIMES BUT YOU DON'T TOUCH IT...
For the hard resetting process, it doesn't take more than 5 minutes... But I strongly recommend you to wait 15 minutes without touching the mobile...
After 15 minutes you can have your mobile and you'll see, it'll be just like the day you've bought your mobile...
In order to have your backed up data again to your mobile, connect it to the computer and use PC suit together with your saved backup file...
Good luck brother...

luisito, 19 Jan 2010hi I had those 4 apps on my 5530,,, and whatyou said is the... moreDear luisito,
Thanks for commenting on my post... Yes... As you said, 'LCG Jukebox' has very weak noise out put... (I have mentioned it in my post too, Noise: very poor) However for me, even with lots of shortcomings, it's the greatest music player of all 4. (Music player is meant to play the great quality music... Right..? So, 'Jukebox' is very weak on several facts like performance, stability, noise... But yet, it produces the highest quality sound.. That only matters to me, and I most of the time listen to music with 'LCG Jukebox') However with the Nokia default hands free you'll not notice any big difference in any player quality wise... You should buy a good piece of handsfree in order to feel the difference... (Anyway who am I to tell you about music...? You're the musician here...!)
I just sent you the "TTPod Music player" with some beautiful skins to your email address... Please comment whether it works...
Good luck brother...

Hi all!
In the application menu if one is going to insta... moreDear hq,
Of course you can organize the applications just as you want... You can make folders and move them here and there... What you have to do is,
Select options then organize... Now you can drag the contents and drop them anywhere you want... You can create more folders according to your desire and move those folders anywhere you want...
I have installed a bunch of applications and I can't even imagine them without organizing them... I have created 12 folders in applications then put installed software in to different categories... (Such as 5-6 software in to one folder...) How can I navigate 30 - 40 programs in a single "applications" folder...? I'll go crazy then...!
If you want to have the default applications only, then you'll have to Hard reset your mobile and you'll loose all the private data as well as installed applications in phone memory... And you'll get your menu just as before...

tarek, 19 Jan 2010is this a virus or not or acommon proplem
first at start t... moreDear tarek,
I saw your question several times in these posts but I really don't have any idea why 'delete' has gone from your pop up menu. (I think I've understood you. right...?) But it's kind of very very strange...!
Bluetooth files are stored in inbox and below the messages and above the "options" and "back" buttons you'll see three icons and the third one (right hand side) is "Delete" icon. As you said if "delete" has gone from the popup menu then did you try that button too...? Or has it also been faded in Grey (means inactive)...?
Did you try removing your memory card and restarting the phone without the memory card...? There's a great chance this will solve your problem... If it solves the case, then the problem is definitely in a software which has been installed in your memory card... Formatting the memory card is the least solution I can recommend but in that case you'll lose your programs which have been installed in your memory card...
Try above out and let us know... If that also doesn't work... I think you better try resetting the phone to the factory settings... (First try soft reset and then hard reset if soft reset doesn't solve the case... But remember hard reset will delete all your data including contacts, calendar entries, messages etc..)
Regarding the missing Nokia sound, I also faced it several times when I restarted the phone... But after several times of restarts now I have the Nokia sound back.. (However I really don't know the reason...)

dujon, 19 Jan 2010Why is video recording on 15fps? i thought it was 30fps? i ... moreDear dujon,
I strongly doubt your statement.. This mobile definitely records videos at 30 fps and it's for sure... I just checked it with Media Player Classic details pane and it clearly mentions "30.214 fps".
Anybody can recognize 15 fps so easily..
You don't need a software to compare 15 fps and 30 fps...!

Why is video recording on 15fps? i thought it was 30fps? i Recorded a video, opened it on quicktime, looks good, went to Window > Movie Inspector, then to my surprise the FPS is showing 15fps then 5fps in Night Mode. So that's why the videos look so jerky! I'm using the lates firmware btw.

Dear All,
I tested following 4 Music players in 5530 and here are my comments about them... (Again... These are my personal opinions and they may be not that objective as they should have been... However I've tried my best not to be biased...)
Default Music player
--------------------
Noise: OK, Stereo: OK
Frequency Response: OK
Equalizer: Good (8 band)
System Performance: Good (Doesn't slow the system down)
Player Performance: Very Good (Never hangs)
Extra features: Loudness (OK), Stereo Widening (Poor)
Weaknesses: Ugly interface, No bass boost, No resuming support, No folder support, No sleep timer
Power MP3
---------
Noise: Good, Stereo: OK
Frequency Response: Good
Equalizer: Good (8 band)
System Performance: Good (Doesn't slow the system down)
Player Performance: Good (Very rarely hangs)
Extra features: Preamp (Good), Loudness (OK), Stereo Widening (OK), Bass boost (OK)
Weaknesses: No mini player on home screen
LCG Jukebox
-----------
Noise: Very Poor, Stereo: Good
Frequency Response: Very Good
Equalizer: Very Good (10 band)
System Performance: Poor (Slows the system down)
Player Performance: Very Poor (Often crashes)
Extra features: Mini player on Home Screen (Good), real time spectrum (Simple but OK)
Weaknesses: Overall poor performance, Very slow menu responses, No stereo widening, No bass boost, No Preamp, No album or artist support (Folder support only)
TTPOD
-----
Noise: OK, Stereo: OK
Frequency Response: Poor
Equalizer: Poor (10 band)
System Performance: Good (Doesn't slow the system down)
Player Performance: Good (Very rarely hangs)
Extra features: Skin Support (Very good), Mini Player (OK), Loudness (OK), Bass Boost (OK), Stereo Widening (Good), Fade effect (Very poor), Automated download of Lyrics and singer/group image (Good)
Weaknesses: Spectrum is sophisticated but not real time, Sometimes pressing next or back doesn't respond that quickly, Mini player to be improved
After all, according to my personal opinion the Winners are as below.
1) High quality Music Experience : LCG Jukebox
2) Performance (System/Player Stability) : Default Nokia Music Player
3) Overall winner : PowerMP3
If I could have a player which has,
* Stability of Default Nokia Music Player
* Music Quality of LCG Jukebox
* Options (Skin support etc) of TTPOD
* Loudness of PowerMP3
Then that would have been an excellent surprise...!
However above matters are subjective as you may guess now... Please feel free to share your opinions as well...
