I also checked in both software and it seems they both don't provide the facility of blocking SMS...
Try this link may be this will help... (I think you have a free account in www.dotsis.com)
http://www.dotsis.com/mobile_phone/showthread.php?202834-Advanced-Blocked-2-0-%28Unsigned%29&highlight=block+sms
The description says it supports blocking SMS but I don't know for sure because I didn't check it by myself.. On the other hand I'm not sure whether it supports touch screen phones.. (S60V5) And remember to sign the application... (It's an unsigned version...)
Try and share with us...

As far as I know any of Nokia symbian phone doesn't support smileys in texting and it is very very strange why...
For your question.. Yes.. You're correct... 5530 doesn't support smileys default.
However you can install 3rd party software which will enable that facility in your mobile but you'll have to tell your friends to install the same application if you want them to see the smileys you insert in SMS...!
I know it's very annoying and strange... But have to ask from Nokia why they have decided not to put smileys in their high end phones...!

I'm really happy that you've achieved to do it after all...! Now there are no restarts, faster menus etc.! I can imagine how happy you are...
And it'll be great if you could share how did you do it with others (specially in countries like mexico where there are limitations to upgrade the firmware) so that they'll be happy too... Please share the procedure with all...
Hei... regarding widgets, I only can recommend you "LCG Jukebox 2.50" which I have already sent you (to your email address). It's an audio player and when you minimize it you'll see a mini audio player on your home screen and it can be dragged and moved... Soooo cool...!
Apart from that, I really don't know whether there are widgets for 5530 like in N97 or Samsung... If I found one, I'll definitely share it with you all... (You know that right...?)

Dear Cyber-shot under dog,
Hei friend, I'm sorry I couldn't reply you yesterday as I promised... (It was a holiday in my country so I didn't come to work... At home I don't have internet...)
OK... This is my personal experience with the widget like home screen application (Gdesk) you've directed me in this very forum...
I tried it and all except for one (taskmanager) were successfully installed. But when I run it, it lags a lot and took a while to respond my taps... (Not to say that I just followed the instructions of you as well as in the "Read me" file in the package itself.) And it was really not exactly which I was expecting though there were plenty of options included...
Although it seemed to change my menu view, it didn't.. The home screen short cuts didn't work or most of the time, responded with a huge delay...
I would say, it's really a nice idea to turn your Nokia S60V5 phone in to Samsung OmniaHD but yet, there's long way to go... (In terms of development)
Anyway, thanks for sharing it with us dear brother...

Nikko, 14 Jan 2010Is there any new firmware update for the 5530 XM? Is it sti... moreDear Nikko,
Yes.. There are several programs for blocking calls or SMS...
But I can recommend only two which I've installed in my mobile.
1) Kaspersky mobile anti virus
2) Webgate Advanced call manager
Both provide the facility for you to create "black lists" and "white lists" of the callers and then you can choose which people should be blocked and which shouldn't...
Both software are not for free though...!
However you may get cracked versions from www.dotsis.com
Good luck brother...

Benjamin, 14 Jan 2010In terms of watching videos, image/picture display and over... moreDear Benjamin,
When considering the terms you've mentioned in order to compare 5530 with 5800 are pretty much similar in both phones..
Both phones have same video playback capabilities
Both phones have very weak sunlight legibility
Both phones have same screen colors and resolution
But,
5800 has the bigger screen than 5530
5800 screen looks bit "Bluish" while 5530 screen looks bit "Yellowish"
For the record, I would say, there are plenty of differences between 5530 and 5800 in terms of appearance (outer look) and internal capabilities but seems you don't have much concern about them..
Hope this will help...

tarek, 13 Jan 2010plz guys help too many names saved to my blutooth i didnot ... moreDear tarek,
I think you've paired so many bluetooth devices and now annoyed by them... Here's how you delete them...
Go to Menu - settings - Connectivity - Bluetooth
Then go to the Second tab... (Above there are three tabs.. Second tab is for paired bluetooth devices which have been saved in your phone... Third is blocked bluetooth devices...)
There you'll see the list of your paired devices... And you may delete the unwanted devices as you wish...
One more thing...
Dear Tarek... You really don't have to pair a device to exchange few files time to time...
Apart from that it's not that safe either..
So my advice is, when you want to send or receive a file to or from another bluetooth device then DO NOT pair it... Just send / receive the file regular way... And always turn off your bluetooth when you don't use it...
For me, I always use bluetooth to exchange files with my laptop, my sisters phone or my friends phones... But yet, I have not pair any device yet...
My paired devices list is just empty... Now you see...!
