HAK, 02 Jan 2010Hi everyone. all u great users of nokia 5530 i hve some que... moreWell it depends really, my battery lasted about for 3 hours with Wi-fi (Fring,Opera,E-mail) but with music plus messaging and tinkering with the phone it'll last for a day or so. .Just adjust the brightness it'll help lower the battery consumption. . well the camera. . if you are a former owner of any higher camera phones (like the Cyber-shot phone or an other kind of good camera) your in for a disappointment if you shoot in any low light scenes even with flash, noise is visible anywhere. . but in good lighting conditions it'll be ok. . . just be cautious shooting in low-light scenes

well the battery is enough for 24 hours of muzic play otherwise on standby it's kwl till 2.5 dayz

batery life depends on what application you use. Application like internet browsing or email could really drain your phones battery for about two hours ...............

Camera shots are good and the latest update doesn't have major problems in it. (Latest Version is 20.0.080) if you have the version 11 something like that, you have to update it to 20.0.080 so you won't have major problems in it. :]

Anonymous, 02 Jan 2010hey i got the same problem on nokia 5530. i just bought it ... moreI for one am a SE loyal user (till now) I used to own a k800i and a g70o, I love how SE lasted for days with normal usage believe me it's a wonder, and it charges at a very short time. Unlike the 5530 it lasted for a day and charges at a very long time. That's why my name is Cyber-shot Under dog. But I trade it off (same reason it's hot and sexy phone) plus it gives me wi-fi so I can log into my myspace,friendster and facebook anytime I want, plus I can chat even in the comfort room whenever I'm depositing, plus the stereo speaker is another welcome bonus, and the touch screen functionality (but I liked hardware buttons better). But most of all I missed the Sony's XMB menu. . kinda wished if there was Nokia Ericsson mobile phone

I have to agree with you BEC... moreWell higher stereo crosstalk, means better stereo output (1 example is how the output of the sounds of each side sounds for example your left ear buds play chikitik chikitak and your right Boom boom it measures how clean it'll be, if the low stereo crosstalk is low there'll be a low boom boom on your right earbuds something like that) But woah, the 5220 has a far better frequency response than the 5530, noise level seems higher too, but I wonder why the stereo crosstalk is lower. . .

I don't really know whether it's free or paid software. But the file I got from the link you've provided... It says "cracked version" that means it should be a paid software though due to the reason it's cracked by someone, we can use it for free...
However it's a very simple fun software like a screen saver so better be a freeware... On the other hand it looks like a real finger print reader... Cool application anyway...
Has anyone found any positive answer for Adobe reader (touch) and Divx player (touch)...? Please share with us... (Both above for S60 3rd edition devices, I have... But 5th edition is the matter here...!)

why is it my phone reboots... moreDear myk,
No friend... If you've updated to the newest firmware (20.0.080) then it's very strange if your phone reboots that much.
Kindly check settings - phone - phone management - Device update whether you've correctly updated to the above version or you still have the previous version.
(According to your description I get the feeling that your update has not been successful...)
Otherwise there may be some problem with applications you've installed recently... Did you notice any particular program which should be the course of the reboots...? Something like when you try to open that software, the phone reboots...? Then try uninstalling that software...
Else there may be an error with your phone memory.. Normally available free phone memory is very important in order to software to run properly though I don't know why it is exactly... (May be symbian OS is also creating some sort of a virtual memory - as in windows or swap file - as in Linux) Try cleaning your phone memory by removing unnecessary bluetooth messages, software etc...
The last reason I can think of is, there may be a hardware fault... In that case, you can't do anything about it and you're supposed to go to the nearest nokia care center to claim for the warranty... (Before that please check whether you have the genuine battery in your phone, you're charging using the genuine charger and the contacts between the battery and your phone is solid and ok...)
And for your information,
I listen to music everyday and make phone calls, type sms so often... And I run several programs simultaneously too... Music player is always doing it's job at the background, and I'm using google maps, surfing net using wifi etc... (My 4 GB memory card is almost full.. And free space of phone memory is only 40 MB) And I have installed a lot of software in this.. (May be more than 30 software.. Useful stuff as well as garbage...) And I've hacked the phone already..
Briefly I have done almost everything to this phone... (And I'm not even using it very carefully... Thanks to it's solid look, I always feel throwing it in to my bed putting it on my desk carelessly would not do any harm... And so far, no harm...!)
So after all, I don't have any sort of a reboot trouble or anything like that... (Of course after my firmware update...)
I told all above information just to let you know that, if it hangs or reboots.... then there must be something wrong... Good luck brother..
