another question i send a pdf file by bluetooth from another device to it it s dropped in the inbox as all but when i try to open it it shows internal and mem.card drives the inner drive lost 7 mb i tried to serch where is that file not found it so how can i find that pdf file

first i am annoyed from the short life battery it cant bear internet use for 15 min second help how can i made pictures for all my contact in addressbook how can i put them on a stip of bar on the homescreen as appears in 5530 reklams as the picture above for example help

I m using this phone since august 2009, its a wonderful set, people usual complain about touchsreen phones is that it get damage as soon as u drop it, but my personal experience about this particular fone is really good i dropped it from second floor and it is working perfectly fine, but i will suggest that buy a pouch or cover for more protection

Has anyone tried to download skype? Nokia 5530 is not supported. Is there any other way i can get it on my phone? Pls help!

Great phone. Slim, sexy, and full of features. May not have some of the cool features of the 5800xm but this fone really fills the need of people who don't travel much and your usual routine is office and home. Wifi for internet connectivity and great multimedia capability in its price range.

can i update my nokia5530 using WLAN though SW??

i h... morei tried updating the phone's software via nokia software updater but it KILLED MY 5530... i don't know what went wrong even the Nokia Care couldn't figure it out, actually i didn't tell them about the whole software update thing, i was afraid if it wasn't covered in my warrenty.. what happened was that after the download completed the NSU showed updating phone's software or something like that and it showed completed after about 10 min or so and then the app just shut down automatically and left my phone dead.. the phone didn't turn on, it just vibrated when i pressed the power button to turn it on then nothing happened..
Nokia Care told me they couldn't repair the phone so i will be getting a new one, but only after 2 days as the nokia dealer was out of 5530..
I wish good luck to all who try to update the phone's software!!

Dear i have seeing alot that ur set is not updated due to any reason please follow this steps it may help you..
1: Install the OVI suite in ur pc mini dvd is included in the mobile package i will suggest u that dont install nokia software updater from the dvd download it from nokia web site relevant to the set it is almost of 25 mb and install on ur system..
2: Remove all passwords u have set on ur mobile set to default e.g 12345
3: Remove the memory card from ur mobile..
4: Set the profile to general or silent only...
5: Connect the charger to ur mobile or charge it full before updating..
6: Now connect the mobile through usb cable to the system and wait till the suite recognise ur device..
7: Now open the software updater which u have downloaded from nokia site and installed on ur system it will take few minutes to check ur device and updates
8: After that u just relax and it will update it is around 138 mb
Note: Donot remove sim card from ur device the device cannot be updated in offline mode...

The back cover wobbling is nothing but vibr... more
the back covers doesn't wobbles and it feels solid, that's the battery which loosely fit in its compartment and wobbles when u shake ur phone :D

too any users of this 5530, how will u know if you have the latest firmware? kindy tell me how to access it thru the phone coz im planing to buy it nextweek..coz it seems some users are having a hardtime updating there firmware V11 to V20.0.. good if im lucky enough to get the phone with the latest firmware.

Of course you can.
If you have a sufficient internet speed through wifi it won't take 30 minutes to complete updating...
I know because I did it.

Dear Karl,
The back cover wobbling is nothing but vibration alert... I saw in certain review in internet also, they have mentioned about that wobbling thing... Actually they haven't even gone through with phone's settings.
My phone wobbled at first because I didn't know how to change that annoying vibrating alert for each touch response on the phone screen. After few minutes I found where should I fix then I removed that vibration alert now I feel so solid with my back cover.
Briefly... There's nothing wrong with Nokia 5530 back cover... It fits well.. Solid like hell and does not wobble at all...!
But for a reason we don't know (Nokia only knows) Nokia has decided to put vibration alert on touch screen taps... That how the wobble occurs..
Go to Settings - Personal - Profiles - (the profile you're using... say general profile) - Go to touch screen vibration alert and select none... That's all..
Now back cover doesn't wobble...???
Ha ha... That's why I said... Search before you say it...

this phone is cool..i am using dis for 3days..its feature r great
