Anil, 27 Sep 2009@Mangesh....thats true...Even me planning to buy it in anot... more@Anil, yes the design of the new 5530 slimmer and smaller is what i like the most. The faster processor hardware wise, which means later by there could be an upgrade for overclocking to compete with later upcoming models.

My friend had the 5800 but its bulky and I never even got the thought of buying it. Am not going to settle down for 5800. I always want my phones handy, and want them to be phones first rather than a gadget to hold and talk.
Plus its smaller size with equal resolution of 5800 should make it very crisp hopefully and not to mentions about the physical keys present in 5800 as against 5530.

Looks like Nokia doesnt have any option for International warranty and they have explicitly mentioned is applicable in the country the unit was purchased from too.

Gosh but a touchscreen and losing on the warranty sounds really disturbing.

Is the software for India getting delayed for integrating Indian languages into it ?

Or maybe it will get delayed until early 2010 like Nokia said during its launch in India.

Guys am thinking of getting it through a friend from singapore or if its release in US maybe from there. In US, how long does this pre-order takes to get delivered.

Is there an option for international warranty purchase option ?

I just wanted to correct you, because geotagging uses the nodes (the network) to triangulate your position. It is not as accurate as GPS, but thats the technology they use.

                      -Geotagging does not require GPS.

here's whats funny about my recent discovery with this phone.

it has no 3G but it can still connect to my telecom providers internet service which makes me question the used of 3G technology aside from connecting to mobile internet.. do we still need 3G?

Mangesh S, 27 Sep 2009@anil thanks buddy for letting us know abt free senheisser ... moresame 2 u dear.
4 ur kind info, advertisement is running on televisions about 5800 (price 14049/-), with free senheisser headsets.
if we ignore smartphone feature and can put 5k more frm the 5800 price, i think better is Samsung Jet.
I will wait for 2 more weeks for 5530. Still not came, and Jet price is around 17k at tht time, i ll go for Jet.

nokia's new phone are always expensive. wait for ast least three months and you will see the price to starts going down. 5800 initial price was P21,000 now after a few months, you can get for 13,800. selling this phone for 13+ would make people opt for samsung or LG which are cheaper althought it lacks wi-fi.

Nokia Philippines listed this on their website:

Wow! I wonder why it was QCIF when I read it at other Nokia website?
