i just got mine today..PhP12790 at fONE STYLE SM dasmarinas. Color White and Blue.

First impression, the back cover wobbling everyone now and then seemingly simultaneous with the tactile feedback.

keep posted for a couple of days for my feedback.

acronymous, 24 Sep 2009i think you are a typical oversmart indian. From what i hav... morethere's no doubt that u r an indian. wel for ur kind information, these people, who write the posts, are definately indians, and not all of the indians are poor enough not to have an internet connection so that they can post a review. secondly, the people who can aford the internet connection can also afford a high end cell phone. and as for the durability of the phone, u can urself come and check it out in mumbai why there is a need for durability in phones. if u go in the less crowded areas, like bandra and south mumbai, u get to see these high end phones in peoples hands, who definately are indians. and i m an indian and i m also gonna buy this phone in a months time or so. if u have read my other posts in sony ericsson and lg, u will get to know that i m well off to own and throw three high end phones. and its not just me, it is the whole locality of mine who is as well off as me. so u better think before u type any rubbish in this forum next time.

and after reading ur opinion, i got to know "ki indians hi indians ki bajate hai."

tyrant, 24 Sep 2009 is the camera exactly like the 5800 or worst or better? The camera is NOT the exact same camera as on 5800 ... the 5800 is also 3.2 megapixel but has Carl Zeiss lens with dual flash. The 5530 does not have this ... and in fact doesn't say so at the back of the phone either or on Nokia official specification list.

See 5800's specification from Nokia's website:

Have you tried using GPS on your 5800 in mumbai? How do you setup GPS, do we have to install new maps? Is there a way to avoid using GPRS to get map location?

From what i have read and seen indians like best value for money. What do you think is better a suzuki hayabusa or Hero Honda splendor? The answer is obvious but indians will always buy the cheaper/cheapest. The mobile most sold in India and other developing countries is the basic phones which are cheap and durable. Saving a grand or two sounds much sweeter than an added function for the developing world, apparently. honestly i think both the 5230 and 5530 are poor man's 5800, but even the 5800 has become very cheap due to competition.
