This is the 1st smartphone that i buy from nokia and i was like WoW excellent touch screen responsiveness the speakers are also very loud and clear and the phone speaker is really good and clear. As it was mentioned above the stylus is very good when u hold the phone and typing with it.An other very good thing is that when u turn the phone on the side and the virtual keyboard becomes qwerty it works perfect even if u have huge fingers.Very good buy!

And by the way, 5800 XM will have a firmware update this october and that includes the kinetic scrolling ang new homescreen.
So is 5530 XM better than 5800 XM? =)

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2009what it available & 13000 with tax & all from where?from alfa in irla, mumbai . they are selling this without a warranty . but its a good buy cause when nokia officially launches it it will be more expensive . the build quality is excellent . dont worry about the warranty . nokia care will fix any issue and it wont cost much as most of the issues with a symbian phone are software issues . get the phone before its officialy launched and is more expensive .. i heard its going to be priced at around 17000 INR . the e52 also sells cheap at 16500 compared to e55 which is priced at 24000 without warranty . so get the phones b4 they become expensive .

hi all ,
just bought the nokia 5530( white ) in Mumbai for 13000 today.. its a better buy than samsung star and cookie .. touch sensitivity is slightly better than 5800 , nice speakers and a good battery life .. nokia's build quality is very nice and after sales is unbeatable so go for the phone without any hesitation... i also bought the 5800 2 days ago for 15000 INR but it feels like a brick compared to 5530.

I Think that there are many features that you have not mentioned let me add more. PODCASTING is one great feature. FACEBOOK is also there. WI-FI is more intelligent than SAMSUNG/LG....especially if you use multiple access points to connect to the net. Camera is OK in Daylight....night so so.
The Stylus is very good for writing Long SMSes and it fits in snugly at the side slot and is not hanging like a tail in other Rival models.
Music feature is Vgood and Equilizers makes it a DISCOTHEQUE. You will defentely enjoy listening it...Battery good... Go for it.....better than 5800.

Anil, 14 Sep 2009Thats very bad news....but even i confirmed with nokia prio... moreanil, i think you are right. Nokia india must be having this plan under their sleeves just like they discontinued Nokia N78 (fully loaded phone at affordable price). I like the looks of 5530, but many people including me will get bored of the looks after few months of usage. I m still having the dilemma abt choosing 5530 or 5800. Time is short, if we dont buy 5800 now, we may miss the opportunity if nokia india discontinues 5800.
