You can download pc suite & OVI suite from Nokia site itself...its an executable u can download n install straight away....no need to have dvd drive...

Hi all.
I'm using my new 5530 since 2 days but my pc doesn't have dvd player for me to install the pc software cd in the package.
Can anyone tell me where i can download the driver?

just one drawback for this phone is that when u recieve a call and ur handset is locked u cannot answer the call using the green button on the phone . u have to slide the answer button on the screen to take the call . this is very irritating ... !!! its just like the n97 !!!

... moreI love this phone. But as I have never used touch screen phone.. I'm still wondering whether it'll be a good choice...
These are my questions.
1) Is this phone suitable for hard use? (I'm using 5220 Xpress music and it's perfectly fits for my usage... It has so many scratches all over but working just fine)
2) Is it slow..? (I mean the menus and memory card navigation etc...)
3) Menu system is same old nokia or new menu system has been introduced?
4) Can it play divx or AVI files?
5) I used to hard buttons than touch screen... Do you think I will be able to get used to smooth and sensitive touch screen after all?
6) Can I use this phone as I use my current one...? I mean put it in my pocket... And throw it to my bed when I want to... Couple of drops too... Or else will I have to use it like a Girl...
7) Is music ok...? (That's very important... Nokia Xpress music series is always provide you good music... But among them also... there are several very specific... Like 5800, 5220 etc..)
8) Battery life OK...?
9) Is headset ok..? (Because Nokia always gives poor quality headsets with great quality music phones.. I don't know why...)
For now... That's all... I really love the phone... The specifications and all that... willing to buy if above questions are answered...

Buddy....Samsung star wifi is not a smart phone.....I beleive most of the people in this forum are waiting for 5530 touch coz its smart phone....anyway i would suggest 5800 as compared to star wifi.....
else wait for 5530 launch as we are doing it for last couple of month :(((

ya i think this guy is mad and has nothing better to do than just vote.
any ways i think samsung star wifi will be availble very soon by next week in india and is priced at 12k mrp so expect it around 11k which i think is good.
one thing i really like about samsung that there phones donot take forever like nokia.star wifi was announced just 10 days back and will be availbe soon before 5530 comes.i think nokia takes its customers completely for granted.i will buy star wifi when it comes.

GOO... moreInfact no that does not make much of a difference mate. The codes will be out for all the countries right now irrespective of whether the phone has released or not.
Nokia dealers in india have already said not to expect this phone anytime before diwali and that is true. Nokia just take indians for a ride

Just saw in Navifirm that Nokia has officially released new 5530 firmware 11.0.054 ... and there are 2 product codes which have variants which are India specific, as can be seen below:
0591052: 5530 XM RM-504 Country Variant India IN Apps Blue v1.0
0589917: 5530 XM RM-504 Country Variant India IN Apps Red v1.0
Hence, you can be sure that the phone is very near its release ... in Blue and Red colors ... any day now :-))

This phone has been released in many countries and initially the price was high but everywhere the price has come down now.. So i think it will come in india with a low price tag directly if it needs to compete with samsung star and all.. Maybe this is some trick from nokia to make more bucks or watever.. Also now 5800 rates have slashed.. Lets hope it comes soon and at fair price :)

I found the phone nokia 5530 in ebay for 280$.is this one original because I don't know how the ebay dealer have this phone in stock ,and atathe same same time nokia websites has not it in stock till now.Anyone knows the answer?

Even I beleive it will be launched by october only....This is really a bad tactics by nokia......I am really disapointed....If it doesn't come by first week of october i will go for some other touch smart phone....may be 5800.....I have htc in mind right now...
Guyzz if it already out all over world why can't in india...

guys now 5800 is available at 13.5k and this at 13k so waht is the point in buying 5530 when just adding 500 rs more you can get 3g,gps,8gb card ,3.2 inch screen?
