Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hi, as per @supersonic the sound quality of 5530 and 5800 are very similar. I suggest you wait for 5530 to launch in your country's market. It will be definitely cheaper than 5800, 5730.

Why dont you give opinions for 5530 instead of 5800?..
We dont want your 5800, that's why people here wants the 5530 not the 5800 coz of its design, price, additional features, that 5800 dont have..
all your saying here are specs, not all people are like you who always considers specs.. dude, if your a salesman of 5800, your rich now..

This wouldn't happen if gsm arena had already post their review on 5530, and i'm sure if they do so they would also compare it to its rivals: LG Cookie & Samsung Star..
What took them so long anyway.. obviously they're 1 step behind from Supersonic (thanx for your review)..

star can only display 256K colors with resolution of just 240x400 and 5530 has a 16m color display with 360x640 resolution..
so obviously screen of 5530 is better..
.1" wont matter when u have such good screen..

I already said besides the homescreen and the kinetic scrolling everything will be there in 5800.
And the homescreen will not be very difficult to get. The next firmware update can easily put that or it can also be hacked.
Kinetic scrolling may or maynot come but im more than happy even without kinetic scrolling.
If it comes is a huge bonus and if dosnt then i don't mind.
And yeah the 5800 is super quick after the upgrade.

There is no kinetic scrolling, 20 contacts, new home screen in 5800.....
eshaan don't provide worng info that with latest version ie v30 u are having all new features of 5530 in 5800.
Yes 5800 may be lill faster & most of the existing bugs may be fixed but noway u will get the new featuires of 5530 in 5800......

It's as fast as the 5530 now and if there is not too much price difference you should take the 5800 for sure

Only thing missing in the 5800 is the kinetic scrolling which might anyway come for the 5800.

But I also envy the kinetic, 20 contacts, new homescreen, sleek size and design og Nokia 5530 =(

Here in our country (Philippines) Nokia 5800 XM reach the 13,800 price from 17000. Nokia 5530 XM is still not available in our country. With the price of Nokia 5800 XM (13,800) do you think it will go up again since Nokia5530 XM is between 11,000-13,000????

So it spec r kind of same just few advantage
Like
* OS is Symbian OS
* Led Flash in cam
* Kinetic Scrolling
* Contact bar :P
* 3.5 MM jack
&
* 4GB card which is not there in Star ....
So price should b around 12k
Caz start cost 8.5k
Negative points in this
* Star has 3" screen & 5530 has 2.9"

Are there any of u who previously use touchscreen phone other than nokia and then buy 5800? If u did, how is the touchscreen quality between the two?
It seems like no one is answering me.... :(
