However the 5800 has had more time ,so it wouldn't be fair to compare both of them like this. Same thing with bugs.

Also, it's the same OS. About bug correction, the firmwares released for the 5800 in between it's release date and the 5530 release date have been doing that.
So the 5530 is more like a 5800 with the latest firmware, less functions and hardware, and kinetic scrolling and new homepage.

I mean, I doubt they'll be giving an advantage to a lower end phone. What's the point?
Besides, if you're waiting for an official statement, there won't be any. They won't bother making a press conference just to announce some firmware update.
One of their own has already confirmed it. More official than that, only after the said firmware has come out.

Really, pointing out bugs from a phone which has been released for a while (giving the users time to find them) to compare it against a more recently distributed phone is pointless.
Wanna make a bet on how those problems will also be present on the 5530? It's the same OS. It won't be any different, and no, it won't cure cancer.

About the Nokia Product Manager saying the 5800 will be getting the 5530 improvements, while not officially anounced by Nokia, has been refered to in several places.
You can easily google for more info on that.

Haha this forum is getting rather interesting!
@ Anil ...are you sure about that? I wish they would not wait so long to launch the phone. This is one very irritating thing about nokia. They take WAY too much time to launch their phones. The shop i am buying it from is very confident of it coming on the 17th while the others seem to think last week of august or 1st september...one shop even said christmas hahaha

What the shop people got news is, it will be launched between September 1st & September 7th.
We have puja festival in that period in india so even I think they are targeting that date....
I got very disapointed..hope i will be wrong this time..
