And there are many people who really dont much use GPS. ALl my friends who have gps on their friends don't really use it too.

People were against mobile phones when they first came out - think about that. And while some things are really stupid (like 12MP camera module on a mobile) some aren't (GPS being on of them and I don't see it as a luxury.) Is having a map and a compas with you all the time luxury? For those of us who are active and always on the move, GPS in mobile is a bless. And I don't want a 500+ € mobile. Something affordable with good 3MP camera, GPS, touchscreen ( =large screen) and compact size - here is where Nokia fails big time (and I own Nokia).

If this device had even QVGA video recording rather than blocky CIF resolution it would rule this segment of the market. Brilliant value. If I was an MP3 Player manufacturer I'd worry.

just saw 5530 in Bahrain..BD 102 (190 EUR) vs BD 108 for 5800..seems too high in bahrain at the moment....

great phone but why no 3g??? it's ok if it lacks the built-in gps reciever or has a smaller battery, but 3g and 3.5g internet is becoming so important nowadays,, i guess this phone was intended primarly toward some markets that lack 3g,,,

Im beginning to have my doubts as to when this will eventually release. Even though it officially releases in UK for 150 euros there is nothing mentioned about india :(

Must buy this phone. it's ok if it lacks some features but this is the best phone my budget can handle... ^^

It shouldn... moreOn the non-touch applications bit, it might well work with the system itself, but it won't be optimised for touch. the buttons would be amazingly small. In fact, thinking about it, it they might not even recognise them as touch icons so it might not work at all.
