why is is it people think every new fone should just automatically have more features than the last - there is a little thing called MARKETING for some of those less educated posters. They analyze, realize that some people don't need too many features and will be more likely to buy with only the features they need ,at a lower price. All these people saying no 3g and gps is a dissapointment - you already have the 5800!!! If for example car makers followed the same principle that some posters here advocate, there would only be luxury sedans and SUVs in the market. You have to think about the customers usage patters and budget, it no all about just loading up feature . Tis fone is gonna be a MASSIVE success - and i'n not even a Nokia fan.

I'm glad there is no 3g - it drives up the price unnecessarily. I need wifi but not 3g, plus i don't use gps either - so this is perfect for me! 3g just makes the handset more expensive, and then burns a hole in your pocket with the insane data charges. It also drains battery, unless you switch it off, which then defeats the purpose of ever getting it in the first place. The other thing i could use it for is video calls, but 90% of my friends DON'T have video calling fones, and a video call isn't always convenient. For those complaining about no 3g, get a 5800 for crying out loud! can't expect every fone to be exactly the same. Ask yourself - how often do you actually use the feature. I personally use wifi for like 2 hours a day, at home and at work and at the coffee shop. 3g - i last used that 3 months ago. Moto ve66 has similar idea. Bring on wifi, forget 3g!

I m keeping my 5800,
5530 is a big letdown by Nokia.
I was expecting capacitive touch screen, bigger screen and internal memory of 8-16 gb.

this is a really nice phone for people who want a full touch screen phone that is a music and media player. Really good for students diong everday stuff. and with the hand writting recognition, its probably a good organizer too. Nokia is coming out with some nice everday phones.
