I don't think having big fingers will be a problem of using this mobile... But if you hope to use horizontal qwerty key board, then it could be a problem but I think you will be able to manage it..

By the way,now i'm using Nokia 5230,although the resolution of my nokia right now is bigger than this,but the camera and the Wifi on this phone really brings me to buy it.
so guys,help me,should i buy??

Guy, pls help!!! I am going to buy a new phone. Which one should I choose, nokia 5530 or 5800? I dont need 3g and gps. but I hear that 5800 got a better battery. and also in user vote 5800 got a better performance rating, check out both phon's spec page in this website. but then again, I hear that many faults of 5800 are corrected in 5530. pls tell me what I should choose.

prince, 10 Dec 2010i got a 5530.. i started getting problemm. everytime i got ... morei also have the same problem, its driving me crazy, some say it is asoftware problem???

B3AR, 11 Dec 2010im planning on buyin it so would the cell phone maintain it... moreits very durable i have 5530 it fall many times in our stair,while jumping during P.E. time and its too high ,in our garden,in my double deck bed to our tiles floor ouch!! and other but even how many fall it came it remains smoth like when i bougth it new ang no part and sofware are broken it remains like new!!!!
5530 is vabulous!! wonderful!!! like an immortal cellphone

hmm i'm using this phn for 1 mnth.Its osm. Many1 saying that its camera quality bad..but Actually, its good as 3.2 mp.. If u definite which type of photo u wanna capture be4 u shoot,it wil capture nice photos.for dis, they have provided scene modes lyk close-up, portrait, landscape, night mode, night portrait, sports, automatic etc modes..led light is also powerful. & Video quality is osm.30fps..tv high quality,widescreen quaity etc modes r available.
Clear and loud Music quality is amazing !!! U'll find 3d effects even with speakers.coz there r speakers on both sides if u grab ur mob landscapely..
And, an interesting thing is media bar at the top of front side.many1 dont know abt dis.if u tap the xpress music symbol drawn upside of the front area, it wil open media bar containing music player, gallery, video center(real player), web & share online.wherever u r in ur mobile,u can jump to these via media bar..
Battery is average.but as other nokia phns its better that the samsung touch phns of dis price..i hv used corby nd monte..
Cpu is fast enough for 5-6 apps running together..camera speed also good.. My ques is why u wil open 6-7 apps together ?
1 prblm i hv found in copying page addresses fm oprea mini..u wil hv to find othr ways to copy.. Edge nd Wifi is very fast ..its touch is resistive bt very good..capative touches often creats prblms because of being so much sensetive..and another most important thing that u wil never have to worry abt finding softwares.there's huge collection of symbian s60v5 softwrs everywhere..
Altogether its an Amazing phn.i'm really happy with it..never hangd or restartd my phn.

The specs are fine in this phone... the disappointment lies in the battery department. Should have been 1200 or more mHZ battery. Still for the price, it seems like a good buy with it's slim profile and weight.

Astrec, 14 Dec 2010I intend to buy Nokia 5530 and am just curious about a few ... moreRe: processor speed. @434Mhz, pretty much tolerable when doing around 5 apps running at the same time (in my case, 1:Ramblow 2:FingerScan 3:Nokia Music Player 4:Games 5:Others (SMS, Calling, Surfing, etc..)
Re: net browsing speed. with firmware version 31... surfing is pretty good with a good and fast wifi signal... almost all will agree even if you've got a pretty high end phone but the wifi sucks @11mbps.) that is, using nokia's browser... it's also good with Opera.
Re: battery life, so far by using the phone for approx 6hrs of music, daily messaging, wifi, etc.. The battery will last for more than a day, but I have to recharge at the end of the day or else the battery will be drained before lunchtime. :( but if you're not a heavy user (i.e. music, games, browsing) it'll last for about 2 days. :)
Re: screen quality... its 2.9 inch, 16M colors still kicks any 256k color screen anytime... much crispier.
Re: 3.15MP autofocus cam. Screenshots are good during the daytime... but has poor screenshots in low lighting conditions. The LED flash is still far behind the Xenon flash. Video playback @MP4 settings are great.. clocked at 30 fps. :)
This unit is a good buy if it suits your preference/lifestyle (i.e. more on music, wifi, communications... less on photography) especially a "hacked" one. It also runs on a msdhc 32gb external chip. :)
I'm not saying this is the best... I'm just saying it suits me just fine. Hope this helps. :) Good luck.

I intend to buy Nokia 5530 and am just curious about a few things.
1.) how is the processor speed? I mean is it speedy enough to load a couple of apps and also browse the net?
2.) how is the net browsing speed? fast enough?
3.) be honest about the battery life. how long does it last with normal use?
4.) how is the screen quality?

guys, i have used a nokia 5530 for 6 months.
then the battery life is about 2-2 and half days.. could it last till 3 days with normal usage of msg and some application left there unclosed?
2. is that the unclosed application drained battery quickly too?

N8 is too wide n big. 3.2 screen is good to hold like C7, x6

It's a good piece actually but mine has developed some fault.the facebook widget has stopped working,the browser doesn't pop up new pages and the browsing setting is messed up.pls can somebody be of help.i might even get rid of it soon

I know what you mean, I've played around with the N8 a few times too, and although I really like the build quality and physical feel of the phone, the screen and OS is a bit of a letdown. I know over the next few months Nokia will roll out some updates for the phone so maybe things will improve. Your definitely right about the screen I've noticed the same thing compared to my 5530, the screen is a bit of a let down, on a side note have you tried a C6-01 with the clear black display? I'll try to hold out too until newer S^3 phones turn up, or maybe a Meego phone.
