Because, when you install a new symbian software on a new phone, it will check the "digital signature" and compare with the new phone IMEI. If both matches, only the software will run. This is to prevent phone virus or hacker.
So, for every new phone, you need to sign it again with the new IMEI...

dilip, you give me your old phone IMEI is no use. If you change phone, the new phone will have a new IMEI and any symbian software sign with your old IMEI will not work in your new phone or other phone...
Just follow the instructions. If you don't understand, ask someone else to help you. It is not difficult.

aLL i can say is..this phone is the best! especiaLly the sound quaLity..i think it's the best phone of it's kind.
at first i aLso hesitated in buyin this phone becuase of all the negative comments i've read but stiLL my instincts won over my doubts and i'm teLLing you guys this fone is one of the best.
you can use video call if your network provider supports it..
and yes you can still install lots of new software and games as long as it's in .jar format.

Relly bad quality mobile phone, for 350 euros unlocked in my country, after 2 weeks the slide key just falled, and the mobile was always handled carefully!!! This is a shame for nokia, for this price I could go for an iphone locked to my operator!!!

This phone is unable to run .sis files. There is no way to make it work those files on 5610 but you can always install java aplications.
About the videocall feature, it depends maunly on your service provider, if they support such function or maybe because you bought your phone factory unlocked this isn't able to work with that service because isn't configured with your service provider.

hi, from when I bought this mobile I really become very excit because it gives me really digital sound which became my good fellow during leisure time I bought this mobile in saudi arabia recently I am in saudi but a nepli citizen. but in here I found two problem that is software problem that I cannot install .sis file such as dvd player software and miscellenous and also I am unable to use video call so could you plz send me the process to use video call and is it possible to install any other software ????

i went wat u told,but i cant understand,since iam young, would u pls do it for me,bcoz,iam going 2 buy n95,i wanted rotate me prepared,i saw another software by d name landscape pro,it rotates 280 degree,while rotate me rotates 160 degree

hey i'm an proud owner of an 5610 xpress music phone....i'm loving it....but a couple of my friends told me to get rid of it as soon as possible cuz their saying that the phone has alot of software problems....and now i'm wondering if i should change it....would like some advise on the matter asap...thx...iddy
