Hi all... Btw Nokia 91 8GB & Nokia 5610, which will you advise to buy??? To me, camera is not the main concern... mp3 and radio are more significant....

hey guys thanx for all ur comments on d phone.. i tried searching the forum for my queries and most of them were already answered, so hats off to u guys. But still i come up with this one:
Can i install softwares on my phone like file manager, dictionary etc.
does this phone supports .pdf files so that i can read ebooks on d go?

I plan to buy this phone but have read lots of negative comments about this phone like it freezes and restarts itself. Do you guys experience this problems??

hi !
my phone has this whining sound..very disturbing..but only if you put your ear near it..is it some kind of electronics/electric problems .?? how do i correct it ?? i tried to reset the phone but the problem still persist..
can someone help me on this.. plzz

Does this phone have the 'say caller's name' function? I can't seem to find it anywhere in the settings. Thanks.

Hannan,if u want symbian phone then go for N73 Music Edition(the best of Nseries)but if u want simpler operating system go for5610,I have both phones but I prefer 5610 cause of bigger font size cause it is Os40version 5

To Hannan - use the search box at the bottom of this page and type in "N73" - there have been too many comparisons with the N73 already to mention here.

To Trent - from the main menu, go to to "settings", "phone", "network mode".
Since changing to this mode, my phone lasted for 5 whole days, including several hours of music playing and many calls/texts.
To Kakarock - when I updated to the latest firmware, I didn't notice anything different. Clearly there are changes, but nothing obvious.

I had use this phone almost 2 month already. Everything is ok but i have a little unsatisfied about this phone.
1) the audio capture of a voice record and video record is worse. Its capture a very small sound even the sound is loud. :-(
2) the loudspeaker of a voice call has very small sound even i pres the full volume. I almost can't hear anything while walking on the road. I spent 3 month salary 2 buy this expensive crab.. Don't sell if u dono make phone.

I bought it and everything seems so good except that it doesnt support the SIS files .
plz if any one knows if i can use the sis system on this cell phone.

To sophia and others who have problems with new phones:
Where did u buy the phone from? The dealer is as important when buying a phone - It is best to buy phones from either showroom or reputed dealers. Do not buy from small time shops as sometimes u may end up with phones that have problems. Dont go for phones just because some shop sells it cheaper than others - the dealer might have got low quality or discarded phones for cheap too. I went thru this problem once, so i am just cautioning. For all you know, you might even end up with a phone that was given as exhange by some customer.

i've been a fan of this phone for a while now but the reviews have somewhat slanted my opinion. im just looking for a new slider phone. no specific brand i would be willing to use sony Ericsson. a phone that wont hang and is not VERY sexpensive. whats the best choice?

As others have said, I agree with marcus too. It's so boring the same questions being answered constantly. Before I bought the phone i read all the comments so why other people can't then that's just lazy.
About the dual > GSM mode. I'd heard about this on another forum for my previous phone so i had it switched to gsm only from the start with this phone so i can't say whether it affects battery life but i had heard this before. I'm still averaging only 2/3 days on battery and i've had it about 6 weeks now so i doubt it'll get any better.

To Harry - you can listen to music while typing and sending a message, but not when on a call - you wouldn't be able to hear the person you were speaking to!
And to the person before saying we are all "stupid" - that's very insulting. It's a common fault with the phone, and almost certainly due to firmware, so won't be solved until the firmware has been re-written. Therefore taking the phone back to be repaired wont solve the problem!
