This phone lasts with a single charge approximately 2-3 days with constant use of all the functions (mainly calls and SMS, 2-3 hours of music, half an hour of games). When I listen to 4-5 hours of music, watch some videos and play a lot of NES and GBA games even I have to charge every night my phone, but I doubt that a phone in this category and price tag could be better in these aspects as I abuse a lot of my phone when I use all its functions. If you use it only for some calls and SMS it can reach 4 days without problems.
When I play music only my phone lasts 9-10.5 hours of continous playback (the secret is to skip tracks and put the volume with the bundled remote instead of the phone controls because the remote control doesn't turn the phone lights and display on. It's a great choice so far.

Well the brand of my micro sd is San Disk and my firmware is 3.27 (it has some bugs) but I'm not having problems. Even the phone is as speedy like it was with the bundled 1gb card (I have 2.8gb occupied by music, videos and applications). So I have no problems with y 4gb card even if I have an older firmware. For that reason I'm pretty sure that most of the 5700 should work without problems with those cards.

No, that's okay....seems like you use Sony Ericsson a lot more ....In newer phones, specially in Nokia ones, the OS used is Symbian. Older phones, such as 3230, 6630 or 6680 had older versions of symbian on them, namely symbian OS 7 or 8...on these versions you can install everything you want, there isn't any security restriction....that's why these phones can be infected by a virus....Nowadays new phones have Symbian OS 9.1 or 9.2, like N-Series phones, 5700 or 6110 Navigator...in these phones, only apps and games certified by Symbian ''can'' be installed, or they were saying so at the beginning ...that is one reason why these phones cannot be easily infected by a virus....now to get apps which are not recognised by Symbian to work on your phone (e.g. N95), you must ''sign'' it yourself...signing is like inserting a certificate authorized by Symbian in the app/game....thus, we became Signers for this forum, in order to ease Noeman's members' life....

N5700xpressmusic,
I have been repeatedly stating in this comments section that i'm using a 4GB microSDHC card in my 5700. SanDisk is the brand. I bought it in CD-R King in Gateway Mall here in Cubao Quezon City. It was so many months ago, I think it was November when I bought it.
If I were you, I'd better not doubt.: )
5700 works great with the 4GB microSDHC card that i have.

Always restart on v3.27 but i can handle this,im quite d0ubtful if 5700 can handle 4gb,i d0nt wanna waste m0ney f0r n0thing.luis,wat brand 0f micro sd u are using?and wats the versi0n of ur f0ne.in regards to the speed of f0ne,i have experience the sl0wness of the n82 having a 2gb card whch have 300mb space left.and it sims very sl0w lyk n91 4gb,but kn0wing that it only have 2gb card,c0mpare to 5700,i have 2gb and 2mb free left,stil as fast as a n0n os f0ne.it acts like a s40 f0ne but in reality it is a s60.gud j0b f0r n0kia and symbian.

I have v3.83.1. but am not sure what brand the card is. Does the brand affect the performance of the phone?

Am having problems with my new 4gb microSD!
It keeps duplicating images and videos in the gallery, and sometimes stores them in the wrong folder. An hour ago one of my videos was stored in the images folder and was duplicated about 18 times. I had to format the card. This happens about twice everday for a week now. The file manager & music player files works ok most of the time. But sometimes the songs refuses to play. Guys I need your help, this is my biggest problem. If the card does not work in the phone then the phone is useless for me. I gave my sister the 1gb that came with the phone, taking it back would be a bad move, please help!

This phone is in a different league compared to W810 because 5700 has symbian, a better display, a2dp and better music quality. Compared to the N72, 5700 is better too because the updated Symbian (3rd edition) a faster processor, better display, upto 4gb memory and better music capabilities.
Personally I think it looks better in black color because I have the red oneand I have experienced it tends to get dirty and then looks darker.

i am frm mtius nd the original nokia 5700 costs Rs10,600 now.. so convert it to ur currency..!! gud luck...
the nokia 5700 is just superb with it sound quality and its fash can be used as a torch without any application..

belive me dont bay this fone for music if u like camera fast responce and bettar internet tharut opera mini 4.1 no pro u bay it but belive belive this is not bettar music fone i have it leck bass leck volume u know a music fone dont have this

My RM is 302 because my phone is the American version which has the 3G disabled (that because in the American continent the 2100mhz band isn't suppoorted and compared to the N95 5700 wasn't a mass product so Nokia never launched a model with 850 and 1900 mhz 3G frequences). It hasn't anything bad, only the flaw is that the last firmware released to this RM is 3.27
