to crosask you can change the text to bigger by going into menu den settings den phone settings den general den personalisation and lastly display...it'll say font size lik under light sensor and yea u can change it there to large

i have 57oo for 3 months,updated to the recent firmware and it has the following advantages:
1- the speediest set ever specially
if compared to previous ones
running on sympian.
2- good firm solid design.
3- unmatchable screen with great
screensavers.
4- very good music experience
and the bass could be greatly
boosted with a fully utilized
equalizer.
5- if compared with n73me the
result will be 10 to 5 in
the favor of 5700 at performance
and music aspects.
6- not having freeze or hanging or
self-restart problems at all!!
maybe due to firmware!
7- in comparison with SE walkman
series, in music aspect, i think
they are both on par (i am kind
of realistic,LOL) though am a
nokia fan.
8- the video recorder is
brilliant.the video is 320x240 in
mp4 format and the sound is very
good in acc format.
9- come with mini-usb wich is
pretty much usefull and handy.
10- the keypad is extra soft.
11- the V-shaped and the horseshoe
menu are really unique.
Disadvantages:
1- again and again,THE CAMERA.
No problem at all in sufficient
light,but pretty noisy if not.
2-the speakers sort of need to be
louder but this may be overcomed
by altering the equalizer.
3- no 3.5 mm output.have to use
the adapter.
4- no chronometer software is
available.
in my opinion it's a good deal for money and i rated it 9/10.

I did search & found it online. And yes quick Office works fine. I appreciate your helping spirit. :-)
I am facing few restart though software updater said its latest. My firmware version is 3.27 & cust. support in india has stated that latest is 3.83.
Any suggestions.

Few things I noticed in my 5700 is.
Though its mentioned that u can not switch off the music player. There is a way. I found it at http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/.
1.) You have to go to now playing -> equaliser -> edit equaliser. Now choose exit from options & music player stops. Save ram, Its precious :-)
2.) at following link Its being mentioned that this phone does not comes with auto keypad lock. but it is not true as it does have this feature. http://mobile-review.com/review/nokia-5700-en.shtm
May be you all are aware of this, but I just thought to post my observations.

It works Dr., actually after posting my query to GSMArena I found this at europe.nokia.com. I really appreciate your helping behaviour.
I am experiencing sudden restart few times. I tried updating my firmware but nokia software updater says its already updated, although its 3.27. any clue how to update it otherwise. I contacted nokia customer care & they confirmed that latest version is 3.83.
Any suggestions.

i am happy with this phone until suddenly the numeric keypad not responding. But aftern do some unpatronized cliks it becomes normal. But oftenly happens, i realize mostly after i use the camera. Anyone experienced same? Any idea for solution? Thanks all. Carlo/Indonesia

quick office rocks. its a great software pls install it.
dr. adedoyin u did a great job by sending the software to aditya's email otherwise i helped him. so aditya install it. if u didnt get it then search it at nokia europe. just write quickoffie in the search textbox and u will get it. u can also download acrobat reader for symbiyan from nokia europe

I've tried to download it, but it says that my firmware is still in the newest version..

i cant decide wether to get 5700 in black or red ?!! the red one is cool but people told me it get dirty easily !!! but if i treate it will ... will it remain the same colour ?!!
