To ganu-- The volume of 5610 is more when compared to 5700. But in terms of quality , 5700 plays high quality audio songs in stereo sound , while 5610 plays songs through monospeaker , thus the quality being a bit low . Thus , 5610 beats 5700 in terms of volume , while 5700 beats 5610 in terms of audio quality.

To partha-- Well , the plan might differ from one state to another state. And in karnataka , 99 rupees plan is known as AIRTEL ONLINE. Why dont you call up customer care and ask some details about airtel online ? Or else , better visit www.airtel.in , so that u can get much more information about the internet rate plans. the lock code is not a problem of the cell phone it is the fault of the provider / subscriber like vodafone etc. if u buy an original nokia then its probably " 12345 " ...
if the phone u get is used by a person who got the phone from such a subscriber then probably they will make the phone software only to respond to there own sim card ... u cant use any other sim with it ...
and switiching off automatically ? u have to make sure u got the phone from a good dealer and not a malfunction one ... that doesnt mean all the nokias are switching it self off ... how can anyone say that nokia is bad when its the most selling cell phone brand around the world ... ??

most of the dealers are like that masud most of em lie and sell bad products not only the cell phone dealers but most of the dealers who sell technological stuff do that ...
they will specially do it if ur young or else if they feel like u dont know much about the product ...
so there are two things to do if ur younger (even if ur 22 or 23 years old ...) go to buy cell phones with someone elder than u and dont pretend that u dont know much about the product always show em that u know a lot about it ...

ya you right. now i have to wait for the warranty. ya i have warranty. but i am surprised that how they can sale such malfunctioning set. i have bought this set from nokia priority dealer.

A way to increase loudness - Though may not be convenient to everybody as it is applicable only for "ogg" files. If your music files are compressed in "ogg" (a similar and arguably better encoder than mp3 / lame and free too) then play these files through oggplay (freeware) for s60 3rd edition. You can enhance the volume by additional 12db in the option settings of the application. Though oggplay plays mp3 & AAC files this 12db boost does not have effect while playing these files. So guys convert some of your music into ogg and try this.

I KNOW A WAY HOW TO INCREASE THE LOUDNESS OF 5700...
After thinking hard for a while, i realized that its not the loudness, it's the penetrating power of the sound ( meaning how far it can travel through air)...As the sound is clear, it has a normal pitch and the greater the pitch, the greater it penetrates...That is why the sound of N73 pinches in the ear...So to increase pitch, make a new preset EQUALISER profile with all levels high except the second one...the lower the second one, the higher the pitch..keep this profile active and it will also affect the sound when a call comes...

Dear, gka3000 has given you the right advice. Return the phone to the dealer. You should still have a warranty. They should be able to replace it for you.
