I guess this problem is software problem not a hardware one...Occured to my bro on his n95 and was caused by a virus, and it was solved by a hard reset...I think u should first try to hard reset ur phone(restore to factory settings) , to do that 1. remove ur memory card as im not sure if this will delete its content too or not 2. with ur phone switched off, press and hold the ( * ) , the ( 3 ) and the green ( call ) keys
3. switch on ur phone while ur still pressing those 3 keys, and wait for a short while...
This is supposed to hard reset ur phone (u will then be prompted to choose ur country,date/time etc....
Try this way and tell me if it worked or not

Hi,
I want to buy a phone for my Wife. I have selected N70M & Nokia 5700. Now the cost of both is almost same. Can anyone tell me which is the best buy in terms of Camera, Sound & Reliability?
For N5700 - Its 16M Colors which are more than the N70M. But again N70M provides 1GB Card where 5700 have 512MB Card. Confused...? Help Me....

i can help you but first tell me that you say you are using 5700 for 2months. so in between these 2months your phone automatically get restarted ....and if got restarted so how many times.

guys plzz help me. i have been using this phone for 2 months now and nothing serious happened to it except it fell down by an accident long time ago(but nothing happened). recently i switched of the phone and later when i tried to switch on the phone, it only came up to the part where it says nokia and it gets stuck right there. it doesn't work!!!!!! and it won't switch off so i have take out the battery! the worst part is that the phone was warrantied by some company and they say that no matter what happened, they will never change the phone, they'll fix( they also said that it shouldn't be dropped too!) do you think that the problem was cause when i dropped it? cuz it was working fine right after! will it be fixed? and what should i say if the company says that the phone was dropped? heeeeelllllllllpppppppp this little poor child!!!

Great phone, best price/quality rapport I've evere seen; two faults: low quality camera and by music mode doesn't exist ffw.
The rest is top quality and performances as usual by Nokia.

Hiiguys me also using nokia 5700 from last 2 months its a good and fukll eqipment fone..some people says that it restart auomaticaly i tell u the fault..
plz fre ur mmc(card) memeory min 10% or 5% free nad also fone memory..if u do thd inshallah ur fone will not held and restart automatically..
me also do ths so i havnt nay comlain..plz use amy idea..

I am also facing the same problem and Nokia does not have any remedy to this problem. Infact all of their models which uses Symbian 60 software has a same problem

i use 5700 is nice phone. but one proplam my mic is oneday not work then i restart the phone then worked.i thing 5times i had this proplam.any one have ideia?.

Hello every one.i have been using nokia 5700 since 4 months.its a great experience.the phone is quite friendly.especially the key pad.its super smooth.the joy stick is not a problem at all,its same as N73.it has many great features like audio themes.it has built in hi-fi audio chip which act as a powerful sound card.and if u connect it to ur computer speakers it gives amazing sound with nice base.

@farhan and @ adoyein what is firmware i really dont know abt that let me know frm where can i download new firmware? is this in any site or frm nokia shops??one more question 5700 available in the markets are in a new firmware or not what is the actual statement of firmware? also tell me its minus features! some of them said me its twisting part so loose and the menu and cancel keys r so hard?? must answer all the question ok send me early..

You can also go by your nokia PC suite. Open the pc suite and click on software update icon then follow the instructions given in the web page it opens.
New features of the new firmware i do not know for sure because i have not updated my own phone. But someone inthis forum says the music is louder and the shutter sound in more silent.

3250 does not have problem with the twisting base so also 5700 does not have problem in this direction too.

Take your phone back to the store for them to fix it. This is not a common problem for this phone. It may be a manufacturing error in your phone or maybe you drop the phone from a height by accident.

My phone has a problem of microphone going off quite often. It does not starts unless I switch off / switch on the phone. Anybody has this problem?
