Hi
I am planning to buy Nokia 5700, my only requirement is internet downloading speed. Is Nokia 5700 good choice for PC based internet surfing using GPRS? I have used the Motorola L6 which is class 10 GPRS phone and its internet speed is PATHATIC. While downloading it shows2.2 to 3.3 kbps (MAX.). Can Nokia 5700 give me good internet downloading speed???

dont forget to use the divx mobile player in ur 5700 and watch divx videos in the 16 million color display with dvd quality also with this players volume set to the highest level it will give amazing quality sounds to ur 5700 stereo speakers ...

But what I'm looking for in particular are other new Nseries themes (I already have N76's red and two dark themes which are also in n95). The reason why I'm looking for those themes is because of the clean

Are you looking for any particular theme or any 5700 theme or is it just N series theme you are looking for? Am surprised you said you can't find in those sites you mentioned. The sites are full of themes for N series and for 5700. If any site does not have 5700 on its list it will have N93 or 3250. Chose any of these and download. They work equally well for 5700.
One thing you should note is that for some sites, you might have to reset your phone date to say 01/01/2007 to install the theme otherwise you get "expired certificate" error while trying to install. After installing simply reset your date back.
Also, you may get "application not compartible with phone, install anyway" warning message. Just select Yes and continue with installation. I was confused initially when i got this message the time i first bought my phone.
At ownskin.com you can even create your own themes with your own pictures. I use themes created by myself now.

I like this 5700 phone. I mean I like the twisting form factor, it's so cool. Plus the screen & the themes are really cool & refreshing to the eyes. But having already a N91 which is incredible in audio quality & music capabilities, I think it's pointless for me to go for 5700. I think I'd go for N95 instead I don't know. But overall, 5700 is nice & unique phone.

this is a perfect budget phone...in kenya it retails at the same price with the n70 and n3250 and i hink its the best among the three..

if you don't consider the price, go for the N73 (Music Edition)..its music capabilities are identical to 5700..5700 only has external keys but that's not a big deal since u can use the joystick the same way..and u wont need to reverse your keypad..N73's screen is better because it's longer (50X37) against 5700's (33X45)..their resolutions are the same at 240X320..the number of colors dont actually matter unless you use a microscope..my old samsung i300 with 65K colors & motorola rokr's E2 262k colors are sharper than nokia's 16M colors phones these days (6300/E65/6110 etc)...
but 5700 got a 2.5mm jack & a mini-usb connector which is handy unlike n73's pop-port..but n73's speaker is a lot louder than 5700!

hey! i have this phone. I'm wondering why is it, everytime i put .sis in my phone, the result is not compatible. i want to put a lot of theme but my 5700 phone always reject it. can anyone help me

Hi people. I've been to mosh.nokia.mobi, zedge.net, onsmartphone.com and mobile9.com but I can't find any other Nseries themes to download. What I would like to know is how can I get themes such as the one found in N81? I already have the red theme from N76 and dark themes from N95 but my friend also has 5700 and he has those themes. I forgot to ask him where'd he got those. Please help.

Hi I'm a N91 user. I dont know but Im planning to get a N95. I already have these amazing 5700 themes w/c Ive downloaded from the net: Candy Station, Party Pitch, Psychedelic Sounds, Super Scratchin & Neon Noise. Im still trying to look for these remaining themes: Red Impression, Beat Boxer, Chroma Rhythm & Urban Beats. Can anybody tell me where I can download them? Pls email me. Thanks.

n73 is better than this phone only in its sound quantity not in quality and with the camera mega pixel ... in quality the 5700 got the upper hand and in sound quantity the n73 got the upper hand but still the n73 starts to give sound breakups and distortions when the sounds are set to the higher volume ... 5700 does better for a 2 mega pixel cam ... and far more comparing the two phones the 5700 got a 16 million color display which is excellent for videos and for daylight (the thing some ppl say that its a marketing gimmik aint true ...) ... and in taking photos at night and at dark times both phones ain't doing that good ... 5700 is faster in the responding time than the n73 ... the 5700 got dedicated music keys and a twisting lower part , n73 got 3d speakers and the 5700 got stereo speakers with surround and a dedicated music chip ... i give both phones 10/10 ... so as a new buyer of one of these two phones u need to decide which one suits u most ... i have n70me , n72 and n73me , 5700 xm is the last i have im too much in love with my 5700 so that i have given up using the older stuff :-)) ...
