My own phone is not behaving that way. It could be peculiar to your phone. I once had a Nokia 3250 whose battery drains very fast and charges up very fast. In fact within 30 min, i get full charge on a completely flat battery. Others were not experiencing this.

i think u should take the phone to the nokia dealer and have it checked this is not normal ... i remember one of my old samsung phones gave this kind of problem ... like its battery level indicator keeps running even the battery is fully charged ...

I am using Nokia 5700 since last three months. The phone is genuinely good. However, my battery takes long time to charge and charging time is not consistent. Somedays it gets fully charged within 2.5 hours and one day it even took more than five hours although I start charging at when almost 25% to 35% battery is left. I use the supplied travel charger (AC 12E). Actually what I think that it may be software problem also - It may be that although the battery is fully charged the animated charging indicator doesn't stop in time and we think the battery is not fully charged.
Secondly, during use the last three four battery indicator bars comedown too fast in comparison to the first two three bars. Moreover, I talk for approximately, 20 minutes a day, play for 30 minutes, listen to music for another 30 minutes and surf for about 30-45 minutes. My battery lasts for 1.5 days maximum.
Can somebody throw some light on this as to whether there is some problem with the battery or it is normal.

Just like to add from the comment of gka3000: the 6120 has HSDPA, the 5700 doesn't have.
The 5700 has a dedicated audio chip but it's totally different from the audio chip found in the N91 w/c many reviews pointed out "the presence of the dedicated audio chip makes the N91 one unique phone." Up to now, no music phone nor digital music device can rival N91 when it comes to superb audio quality.

what the ... :-0 oh man i cant beleave u saw that comment ... i totally forgot it and now u reminded it back to me now that im laughing for about 10 min's again :-)) ... ya its true man very true i put that on the 5310 fourm cuz some guy called the 5310 as a tv remote so got a bit angry about it ... im glad at least some people can understand what im saying ... peace out my bro ... :-)

I have to agree with viperkid about the reviews on mobile-review.com they totaly hate on nokia phones just look at the review of nokia 6131. They dedicated a whole page disiing the screen dispite the fact that it was one of the first nokia phones to have a 16 mill QVGA screen!! well i went and bought it and i totally loved it (apart from the battery) am still using it after one year man!! And the 5700 review ...... they heavily dissed the phone! especially it's music department ingnoring other factors like the smartphone capabilities !! which GSMARENA mentioned heavily. If you want to by a Nokia phone a you go and read it's review on review.com icant guarrantee you that you will have second thoughts when you are finished!! so shair the truth viper!!

man you are real to the walkman is not that bad but it aint that good either!! remote controls (hahahahaha!!) thats funny walkman will have to step up their game and intergrate smartphone capabilities if they want to catch up with XpressMusic

did someone said its the best music phone ever ? :-0 ... im not gonna say that but its " one of the best music phones with more functions up to date " ... it just got released and some countries doesn't even have it on the market yet ... every great music phone doesn't hold up a place in the top 20 music phones lists ... if people need a complete top music phones list it may need be created adding 100 or more phones ... everyone of us cellular users got more stuff to discover and we have only discovered 30% - 50 % of it no matter how much u know about the phones no matter how many phones u have used ... :-)

yes i think i heard that 5700 8 gb version is going to be released but i dont know for sure but for now i think the 5700 supports upto 4 gb memory without giving problems ... there are users of 5700 which got 4gb memory cards but they said that it didnt give any kind of problem yet ... but if ur using more memory than that im not sure ...
and for the colors of this phone its available in red plus white , black plus white & also in a gray & light green mixed (i dont know wht to call that color lol) plus white ...
but the transformer edition is available with completely different colors making the phone completely black and some areas of the key pad and external music keys with red or blue ...

there are some differences between
the 5700 xm and the 6120 classic ...
* the released dates -
5700 in 2007 march and 6120 in 2007 april ...
* the design -
5700 got a sporty look for younger people and the 6120 is like its being released for adults , 5700 got a rotating (twisting) base which changes between the key pad the external music keys the camera and video call (3g) & 6120 got a nicely designed key pad but not a twisting base and no external music keys i guess ...
* camera and 3g -
5700 got the same 2 mega pixel cam that changes between 3g mode and the camera ... the 6120 got the camera on the back of it and a secondary video call camera in the front ...
* gprs class -
5700 gprs class 32, 107 / 64.2 kbps & 6120 gprs class 11 ...
external speakers - 5700 got two way external speakers ... (some say its a marketing gimik but i dont mind it just got what it got ...)
* dedicated music chip -
5700 got a dedicated music chip (some people say its just another marketing gimik by nokia too but when i hear the sounds through the headphones i hear very clear sounds without breaking ups the sound clarity is just fantastic ...)
display size - in 5700 its 240 x 320 pixels, 2.2 inches & in 6120 its 240 x 320 pixels, 2 inches ...
i think thats all i can find out for now buddy ... :-)
