Yes Dr you're right we did indeed meet in the 3250 forum. :-)
Im glad you used both sets so i think you're in the best position to help me choose. Now you said 5700's voulme when you use phone speakers is about 70-80% LESS. I'm sure you meant its 20-30% less or that its 70-80% of 3250's volume??? Right? Or is it really that much of a difference?? If so then thats just way to much!! I really wanted 5700's speakers to be even louder than 3250's. But alas... Why does Nokia have to torture us?! LOL
Its only the loudspeakers of this phone holding me back from getting it.

Hi. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile or A2DP defines how high quality audio (stereo or mono) can be streamed from one device to another over a Bluetooth connection - for example, music streamed from a mobile phone to a wireless headset.
I have an officemate who owns a Motorola ROKR E6. It supports A2DP and my mate's got a stereo bluetooth headset. And it sounds great. According to him, he listens to music on an average of one to two hours in a day and takes/makes phone calls on an average of 30 minutes to an hour and the headsets' battery life was amazing. He charges it every after four days.
I wonder if Nokia's bluetooth headset BH-501 is producing good quality sound.
I'm still thinking.
Anyone who owns these headsets? What do you say? Does Sennheiser make such headsets? I currently use a Sennheiser HS550 and lately I'm considering buying wireless headsets because I hate being tangled by wires.

I think we have met on other forum before. 3250 forum i think. Now i upgraded from 3250 to 5700 and i have no regrets. The sound quality of 5700 is far better than that of 3250 when you use phone speakers but the volume is about 70-80% less. When you use headset the 5700 wins. Other features as well like useful 35Mb user memory in phone and more equalizer settings options. Of course you can use up to 4GB memory card. Nokia recommends 2GB.
About A2DP, this has to do with the ability of phone to use FULL STEREO Bluetooth remote handsfree Headset.

@Nisha offcourse 5700 is better than 3250 and 6233.5700 great in speed perfprmance full internet browse and great in sound quality i recommend u to all buy nokia 5700

Hey Viperkid, glad to hear it from you!
But one thing I'm concerned about is 5700's capability of supporting up to 8GB of microSDHC. How's that? Will it really be available in first quarter of next year? Does that take effect only if a firmware update is done?
Any info about microSD's or microSDHC's above 2GB availability in the Metro?

I have a SE K750i, really nice phone. had it for almost 2 years now. But now im seeing that its getting old and im beginning to hate it.
The Joystick REALLY SUX!!! Ans the music quality isnt that good too. its better than samsung, thats 4 sure, but my friend has a nokia and he pwns me with his phone. ( n70 )
So now i need a new phone and ive decided it wont be a SE, never again. The phones look good and stuff and the new t650 is really sexy, but im not getting an SE. Im going to buy and 5700, cuz it looks awesome and it has stereo speakers with an audio chip, so it has to be good. also the twisting part is just TOO COOL MAN!
by the looks of it...SE is awesome and looks better than nokia, but nokia stands for quality, and their Joysticks work 4 eva!

though i don't hav 5700 til now, i can say dat 3250's sound volume on loudspeaker is definitely louder than those of 5700's but d quality of em r pretty much d same except for a fact dat 5700 offers better bass..
loudness on loudspeaker [same equalizer setting and audio file] out of 10:
6233 = 9.5
N73me = 9.2
N95 = 9.0
N3250 = 8.5
N5700 = 8.1
on d other hand, when using headphones, dey hav d same quality, that is if u use identical earphones.. bare in mind dat 5700 has alot more to offer than 3250 like better OS, hardware, music player etc. oh yeah i tested an actual 5700 unit head to head with my 3250 at Nokia Gateway, dat's wer i got my impressions. also, consider dat 5700 supports A2DP and microSDHC format meaning it will support as high as 8GB next year by 1Q! though 3250 may support A2DP & SDHC format in d near future by firmware update (like N73me, N93i, etc), i doubt it, u know nokia's marketing strategy is like.. right?

People im thinking of getting 5700. The problem is that i currently use 3250. And as you know, it has very loud speakers and the quality is excellent once you adjust the equiliser properly, so i want a set which has very loud speakers. So anyone (especially people who have used both 3250 and 5700) can they tell me if 5700 has louder speakers? If not as loud as 3250, then how much less louder???
