    i bought the 5700 a week ago
    so i will try 2 write a review as best as i can:

    pros:
    -the speaker is very loud
    -the signal is good and it doesn t crash on you when u talh on it
    -the twisting keypad it s very usefull and the joint is well built it doesn t mowe if you don t want to
    -the audio cip, equalizer and stereo speakers are very very very good it realy makes the diference the sound is cristal clear and loud (but not as loud as 6234-my old phone)
    -the simbian is good and user friendly but ocasionaly the phone resets (not that often but when it hapends it s anoing)
    -the screen is realy good and very clear and big
    -the flash is usefull and strong
    -the camera is good not excelent 2mp (but what can u do?)
    -the camera records mp4 in 320x240 resolution
    -the conectivity is excelent bluetooth, ir and miniusb instead of the olf nokia data cable
    -the phone is well built i droped the phone from about 1.5 m and besides a few scratches on the case the phone is just fine
    (those guis at nokia can realy make a well built phone)
    -the built in music player is user friendly and intuitive and it responds fast to your commands

    cons:
    -the camera is realy bad with detalils writing comes out blury
    -the screen realy drains the battery especialy if u watch movies the battery gives u about 4-5 hours of view time
    -the menu button is realy close to the left soft button and u will end up pushing them bouth until you get used to the phone
    -the battery it s not strong enough for the phone so don t espect to hold you ages especialy if u use the multimedia apps

    that s about all i have to say about the 5700 but i have one question: the cpu is 369 or 192 ? because i have an app (CpuMonitor) that says that the phone has an "arm 192MHz"
    and the ram is 48M

        Dear SAM To take Care Of Ur Cell Phone flap just Open The Flap For Charging and if u want to add some datat so use card reader if u don't have card reader then u can use the USB cable but I m sure that 5700 flap will never get loose beacuse it has cut marks at corners which will get Inside Ur phones Body
        So Son't worry !!! :)

          Dear I Have Nokia. 5700 It's Neither Hanging Nor Restarting. It's camera Quality is bit Low in dark places and In Sun Light It's Result Is Extremely Nice.
          5700 takes Video in mp4 format
          It's Sound Quality is Amazing . I was Not satisfied with it's sound quality but today i have set it's equalizer and It's Sound Is Mind blowing . One Thing More that It's ROM is ALso Bigger Then N95 [N95 Rom=112 mb & Nokia 5700 ROM 128 mb]
          & It's the Fastest Cell Phone I have Ever Seen

              hello every one on nokia 5700 comment page,,, ok let me know by any one
              1, whts the video capturing format of 5700 is it 3gp or mp4
              2, its sound in loud speakers is better,equal or less than nokia 6233 loudspeakers, i think nokia 6233 have the best speakers little lack of bass but no match with any other till now its best having best crystal clear music output.
              3,i iam a music lover which should be balance , means not like walkman series having too much bass whats this ,this should be for bass lovers not music lovers,music means balance .
              4, many of the users said that it have some problem ,some says in camera some says its hanging ,some says its restarting ,let me tell u one thing thats nokia never gives or tries to give a perfect set,nokia givng u almost every thing in 5700 ,so its almost perfect set but having problems stated above which makes the set imperfect little bit.

                To sam,
                Try this in your fon,create a folder in the gallery,Try Mark multiply image or video and move them in that folder.i want to know that all the marked items is moving to the folder or not.My problem is when i mark multiply files in the gallery,only one or two images or videos is moving into the folder.thanks..

                  Nokia Haven't Released 5700 New Firmware Now But IT will Come Out Soon
                  If any One Wants To Downlao It's Applications LKike seleq and fexplorer Then U have To wait Because The symbian signed site is under maintainance and 5700 softwares need to be signed before installation.
                  U can downlaod It's Antivirus Using Downlaod APplication Option In APplications Folder

                        Hello there, people. I live in Manila and just had this phone for about three weeks now. It's great and meets my needs.
                        Could you please tell me how do I update my phone's firmware? I know that most of us have v3.27 on our 5700s but just want to ask as to how's it done?
                        Please... can anyone provide a step by step instruction? Just interested to know and learn.

                          I bought this phone few days back. Have analysed it completely now. I am posting my review here. Everything is as accurate as it can be, except if my phone is behaving abnormally for a particular feature ;-)

                          1. Signal reception: No problems at all still. Its ordinary, though. Its not the best one for weak signal areas, but for areas with normal or good signal areas, you wont have any problem.

                          2. Connectivity: Bluetooth and data cable are working jus fine. Data transfer rate is considerable low, considering that this phone is class 32A EDGE phone, but that may be because of my service provider. There is no apparent problem in this aspect.

                          3. Symbian v9.3: This is a area of concern still. Not all *.sis files are working, due to the lack of backward compatibility of v9.3 OS. So I have end up having no antivirus for ma phone. However for most of the appz like Opera, Real, Adobe, DivX, Quick Office, etc, I was able to find compatible *.sis files.

                          4. Music: The additional soud chip is definitely giving good results. The speaker sound is good. With the head phone plugged in, it increases even better. But with a two cable connection, its quite tedious to carry the headphone everyone.

                          5. Construction: I am affraid that the rubber pad on the either will fade away soon to give a kinda bad look to the phone (as in case of SE 710). Also the charging socket is cover by the rubber bad. So everytime you want to charge, you have to open the pad and then put on the charge. Rest, the design is good; and also the material used for the phone looks quite impressive, especially the screen resolution and clarity.

                          Camera: I am a cam freak, so cant review it accurately. But from the couple of snaps I took, I found that the cam is a very ordinary one. You would have seen this kinda cam in the earlier versions of 2 MP or 1.3 MP cams. Hope that Nokia will release a firmware upgrade for this phone soon.

                          I have not tested 3G, video shooting and battery life yet. But will update if I find any bug in that aspect.

                                great fone.
                                louspeaker is not so loud,but really great sound,difference from other fons that i have before like N80 and N73.

                                    What kind of mobiles nokia is releasing Nokia are you in your senses this mobile have a lot of problems Nokia should have to be aware of all these problems cant download themes and skins or transfer from pc , sometime it hangs and it also restarts , If you want to close the music you have to apply a long method . Who have time for all these problems to solve and if the problem cant be solved then what should we do through it in the dustbin Nokia you have to upgrade this mobile

                                      And one more thing about the music player, when i played MP3s the sound quality produced was erratic. sometimes the volume decreases and increases as the music plays, i find it very annoying. Is there a way to fix this problem?

                                        I just bought the N5700 everything is great,however as nokia was claiming it to be a music phone with dedicated music chip the ARM 11, i was very dissappointed that the sound produced (using the OEM headset or my sony headset)lack the deep bass sound found in most high end music phones, I tried to activate the loudness on the audio setting but with minimal effect. I also tried adjusting the user equalizers settings to accentuate the bass but had very little effect. Can somebody tell me if we have a software patch or firmware upgrade higher than version 3.27?
