hanep! mas best buy tlga ang 5700! imagine mas mura pa sa 3250 kahit mas maraming features ang initial price [first released].. sounds like better than N73me ang sound ah.. great! re microSD, sa greenhills but dont bother going there coz i found out recently dat CD-R king offers it now at an even lower price. im sure meron stock 2GB microSD sa gateway branch nila. im thinkin nga to get d green (looks like grey) one too juz in case i can't resist.. hehe! =)

of course, 5700 has d mini map feature in its browser (even my 3250 has dat feature). check this video demo showing d mini map in action:

and u'll see here dat 5700 is included in d list supporting not just d mini map but as well as new features of d S60s browser including flash lite 2 within d browser!

you want to know if the Nokia 5700 has map loarder or the sound is good or if it has auto forcus -why not you go to the closest Nokia dealer and try the phone out and then buy what you like. Yes it does not have auto forcus - No map loarder. But the picture quality is not bad - but no comparison to a digital camera ok. The 5700 is a good phone, fast, does not get jammed, and durable too, so do not worry go for it!!!

Sicobiso thanx 4 u input... if the sound quality and loudness is soo good, plus A2dp and 3.5mm connector... this one is better than n73 for music atleast... and better hardware than n73...

When any mobile phone company manufacture a phone, they do it to suit a certain customer base, the trend, what popular functions etc and also they think of their profit. So we as customers should indetify what phone is suitable, try it in the shop and buy it, then you will not be dissappointed nor you have to condenm it.Every 3 months I go for a new mobile, Nokia are user friendly and unique, Samsung stylish and modern, SE good battery life and hardy, other brands are ok too, they they also maket a certain customers.So dear readers always look at the good side of your mobile phones and be happy and satisfied, afterall nothing last for ever in this world, so be happy.We have to thank GSM Arena, for the great service they do to us!!!

GSMARENA plz have a review here as soon as possible !!! I donno if i should buy this phone or not, i hv a w850 now. The 5700 costs 350$ here :) its been out since a week n a half or so.. I dun wna buy the phone be4 reading a real review, because users' opinions are very confusing. I don't know how loud the phone is cuz every1 states sth :S:S:S:S Waiting eagerly for the review =D

I read the user coments daily and I am supprised what people write and how ignorant and how uneducated they are, I have used N70,N73 and N95. I bought the 5700 2 weeks ago, I think its great, the red looks more young looking,its very fast and the sound quality is not bad too. Anyway its fast and trouble free, so I assume if you use it carefully it should last for sometime.The charging and mini sd cover is silicon, so it would last for a long time, I say for the people who complain about the music quality and picture quality, this is a mobile phone,so understand the main functions of a mobile phone, if you need good music and pictures, then go for a walkman and digital camera ok!! Nokia and not fools, they always do market research and always come out woth phones that give them good profits. So before you buy a mobile, please think hard and but the one that suits you and stop condemning!!

it's now available! i've already reserved a green unit in nokia store galleria. based on what a buddy told me, the 5700's speakers are loud and 'buong-buo ung sound.
san uli ako maka-purchase ng 2gb microSD gaya ng sinabi mo? i dont wanna browse from past opinions, anhirap maghanap.
the price is at P18,700.

a) yup, d side flap is d rubber cover for charger, mini USB ports and microSD slot. i think it wil last, coz judging by d looks of it (it looks like d one implemented on 5500 sport, which is quite tough)
b) joystick, this is not a direct answer but to give u an idea, i hav 3250 for alsmot 1 year and 2 months already and d joystick works and acts like it was new (still 98% accurate)
c) yup, im 100% sure u can turn off camera flash each time u use d camera
d) stereo loudspeakers vs N73, really not sure (again to giv u an idea, 3250's sound quality is at PAR with N73 but not as loud) remember 5700 has 2 speakers so more likely, it wil b at least with d level of N73 or 6233's volume...
e) those white lines above d 'C' and menu keys are actually d buttons for them. here's a video demo:

d pencil or edit key is now gone (nokia decided to make use of d # key in lieu with d pencil/edit key which is used to select/highlight multiple items or texts etc.)
f) there's a possibility of dusts to enter d screen (same with other phones, which i think only normal, especially if u live in dusty environments..). TIP stay away from paper shredders.. (dat's kinda funny but believe me, i had some of my phones screen filled with (white)dusts inside bcoz of those shredding machines)

I've used Nokia 3250 for a half a year and the rotating mechanism is as good as it was first time I turned it - perfect!
And display is clean - it doesn't have any dust in it, it's because they don't have thous Xpress covers, so the is no way for dust to get in display! 5700 is next after 3250 (I think) and guess they have same rotating mechanism and both don't have Xpress covers - they are kind a similar!

i luv this nokia 5700 so much but the problem is that the phone is too costly here in nigeria and is very hard to find

Ok, I've been checking out the posts about this phone for a couple of days and can't help wondering what you need a super-loud speaker for. I mean, who keeps the volume on the loudest? Unless I've missed something here and you're talking about something else.
Also, these people who are charising SE phones and bashing Nokia's smartphones don't seem to understand the possibilities of Symbian. I'm not saying that 'normal' phones suck or anything, they might just be everything you need, but after owning a Symbian phone for two years I couldn't consider going back to Java only. For me Java's just so ... constricted. I love the fact that you can install all kinds of
useful , fun and pointless stuff in the thing that's always with you. But as I said, not everyone needs that stuff so SE (or any other brand) might be just the thing you want. But you don't need to bash the smartphones just because you don't need them.
As for this phone, I think this will be the one that I'll buy when my current phone becomes useless. It's pretty decent looking and if it's as fast as you say that's great. I'd just like to know some things. What is the sideflap ... cover thing like? Does it seem like it will become loose or brake quickly? Same goes for the joystick. Is it sturdy or will it become loose in notime? The joystick on my current phone went loose pretty quickly, and that kinda bothered me. And is it possible to switch off the camera flash? My bro has an N73 and I just found the flashing really annoying. And how good are the phone speakers compared to N73? I'm also wondering about those two white lines above the C and menu buttons. What the hell are those? One more thing: does the screen seem like it will keep dust out well or does it get in? My phone's screen is full of dust and it bothers me a bit. If dust does get in, will the removal of the front cover be easy? I'd appreciate it if someone could answer on those.
If this phone came in completely black that'd be bliss. I wonder if you could paint the white parts. And this post got way too long.
