remove the cli... moreThe problem with that cracked version of IRremote is that I downloaded it but it never worked on my phone. I needed to copy/paste some files into folders on my memory card and it never worked. For that reason at least I found a cracked version with the keygen to type it directly on my 5700 I won't be able to use it as a remote control.
There are only 3 applications that I think I need to make my 5700 the perfect phone (anyway I love it): IRremote, a file encrypter (or any program to put a password on my folders) and if exists a program to set a sleep function for the music player (or the whole phone). But I don't want to hack my phone, I'm affraid to loose the warranty so if there isn't any oter way to install such programs I prefer to have my phone intact.

Yes,i hacked my f0ne f0r me to use the ir rem0te.hacking is 100percent safe.i have many apps also that use pyth0n script,like the winxprestart,that enables u to restart ur f0ne at a gven set time.f0r example,at nyt bf0re i sleep,i use to hear mp3 using 5700,and always in the m0rning,im batt empty,but using winxprestart(whch is a pyth0n app)and when i set the time restart at 30mins,aftr 30mins,the f0ne wil restart,so that,the mp3player wil cl0se,so in the m0rning,my battery is n0t empty like bef0re.in my s0unds,i use mp3 128kbps and m0st are wma 128kbps

if u guyz mean by 2.5 mm headset bye the thing which we join to 3.mm jack then yes after that problem i hav ... geniune sony ear piece but the same problem persists

i suggest you use the moto ht820 bluetooth headset.. i have one and it sounds great.
just dont shrink your mp3s(people in tha philippines do that by lowering daown the bit rate) mine is at ACC format 128.
you can automatically set the nokia music manager to do when xfering music to this great phone.

yes there is an app to do that, i have 3 or 2 apps that do exactly what you want..

opera mini uses a server to shrink down the page before sending it to your phone, opera mobile will give you the "raw" page..
phyton is a prog language for symbian.

richel, 29 Jul 2008really? how can u do that? are you also from the philippine... moreIn order to use IRemote you'll need to buy that software or hack your phone (I've never tried to hack my phone so I can't tell you about the pros and cons).
This phone is great playing music, both from speakers and headphones. If you want an even better crystal clear sound you should try another headphones, personally I use a pair of Sennheiser lx-70 which make a perfect couple with my 5700 while playing music, they are louder, plays the music better and aren't expensive (I bought it brand new for only 20 U$D), about the price I mean about the headphones, not the phone.
About the camera, well that's another story, it will fare well in daylight shots, but on low light areas, the shots are far from perfect, but it takes good videos in mp4 format.

richel, 29 Jul 2008also is the casing/housing of this unit are easily scratch?... moreas any phone, handling without care after six months will have some scratch..
as for this phone the red part is rubber so definitely there will no be presence of scratch.
The white part and back are high quality plastic it really shine even you're not cleaning it...
I think the sensitive part here are the D pad, alpha numeric, dedicated music keys and the silver part of the cam...in some case i saw that parts getting rusty or what... maybe the owner is careless but not don't have any as of now

2. i loved the sound, though its not the best but its very clear no distortion compare with others.
3. i don't know bout IR remote.
4. and yes of course 5700 wins
*N73 is not a music phone the only thing 5700 is inferior with N73 is the cam otherwise it wins all aspect.
*5610 is a S40 phone with i think is boring and no doubt in 5700 is greater in music.
so i think 5700 is good among the 3

is this have a secondary camera? i mean so that when your love ones call you they can see you and also me.. i think its hard if the one that i will use is the camera on the twist part.
