Ok. I understood what you mean. One doubt still remains. Do i have to install the firmware first and then connect my phone to pc? And do i need to connect it in pc suite mode? When there's no pc suite, how phone can be recognised? As i know USB means data transfer mode.
One more thing, i live in india. I just downloaded Nemesis service suite (NSS) Got many product codes for my 5700, i used 0544754 apac2. Will that be ok for me? I want english language.
Someone please help me out.

ketan, 02 Jul 2008my 5700 is just not detected by phoenix. what the hell. Vip... more1st, uninstall everything related to nokia on your pc. next install phoenix.(if you have the one where it includes all driver and patch in one installation, thats better. i'll give you link if you want). Then install the firmware.(just take note. while installing dont change any drive). after that run phoenix, connect your phone. if it still say no connection on the bottom right part, go to file>manage connection, click new, check usb, click next, then finish, after that connect your phone, select pc suite on the PHONE. you should see installation of drivers. after that go to file and scan product. on the bottom you should see info about your old firmware.then click flashing and update software. it will choose the appropriate update automatically(if you did not change drive upon installation), after that flash and wait!!!!, did it in less than 5min(flashing). my phone now is in 5.11 with 4gb sdhc!!!

N5700xm, 02 Jul 20085700 offers unlmtd opp0rtunities.I disagree with the word unlimited.
It's a music phone yet it doesn't have a built in 3.5mm audio socket. It only has a 5-band equalizer. It lacks an accelerometer. Gallery view isn't as enjoyable as the ones seen in Nseries (ok, I know it's not an Nseries phone, as you might say, there's something for everyone).
Those are just some of the 5700's limitations. Sadly, I still have to wait til I purchase either an N82 or E51.

Hey guys,,
i am interested in buying this phone but when i see opinions i have found some pepople are having problems with its software i guess..
So any body who had used this mobile can tell me is there are any problem in this set i had used w810i it was a awesome experience with it can any body tell 5700 problem and its better from w810i or not?

Friend, i have got all the things related to phoenix. I have installed them on pc. I got EMEA_APAC v5.11.exe file as well. What should i do now? Should i install 5.11.exe on pc as well? How to put new firmware files on my mobile? I really don't know how to upgrade. Please provide a step by step tutorial.
Please your help is urgently required.

The error is due to the latest drivers that are present in the latest version of Nokia PC suite.
Older version drivers don't have this problem.
Also it might have occurred in case drivers are not installed correctly. Although most recent users have got the error due to Latest version of Nokia PC Suite. Tke Cre!!

Do 1 thing buddy to get rid of this error. I hope u got the product CD with ur phone. First install Nokia PC Suite from it and then use NSS for changing the product code. After this download and install Nokia Software Updater and keep in mind after changing product code should u install Nokia Software Updater just to get rid of this error. Well even I didn't revert to my old code for a long time but I read somewhere that it mite cause some stability issues wich frankly speaking i didn't experience. So no need to revert to ur old code if the phone works good wich it should. Plz lemme knw wen did u got ur phone?? And have u installed NSU or not?? Do reply

first read the details on your phone then on the same textbox where you see your product code, replace it(use euro code. that is what i did). then click write.

I bought this phn last month.I had 2 wait for 2 weeks an paid advance in nokia center 2 buy 5700.Its almost unavailable.Am proud as i get it.
Does anyone knows why nokia stop producing this set?
Do u have any idea.Is there any problem with de phn??????????????????????
