This model has been discontinued and no longer produced by Nokia. However, it'ss hardly to find this model in our country, Malaysia. But comes to aftermarket spare parts, they are everywhere and very cheap because most of the aftermarket spare parts are CHINA made. Even you could find a high quality of exchangeable housing/cover for as low as USD 3 to 5.
I already bought this phone yesterday but it was a used model. Never mind, as long as it does perfectly, who cares. Besides, after having the housing changed, it looks new as a new model.

I have this phone. its pretty sweet for the music aspect. the battery life is sorta hopeless but i listen to music for almost 15 hours daily. okay since i am a little careless in handling the phone i have dropped it a couple of times by accident, and the cover is broken. does anyone know if its possible to change its cover? i have the red black one, i d like to change to the blue black one. also i need to change the cover, because i live in the middle east and its quite humid over here and when you step out from indoors to outdoors the humidity immediately enters the phone, due to the broken cover and theres water in the phone, which i need to dry off.

I didn't think that they will be able to update it, specially that it got the "Charging over USB" feature, and considering that it restarts during charging, then it is hopeless.
Question:-
Can you tell you me what firmware version it has, because it is probably not an official Nokia firmware.
E71 or E75:-
If it is the wlan that you care about, then you should go with the E71, as it is thiner, so it should has a better wlan connection.

You have to get the followings,
1) Key and Certificate
2) Signing Software
And use them to Re-sign the application that you got a certificate error with.
Note:-
Kindly don't ask me how to get them, and just use a search engine to find that out.

I want to thank all those that contribute everyday about this device. I have updated my phone using ovi-suite and the update is 200.12.87 and the update is simple with high speed server. I need ngage installer on my phone i have one but whenever i try to imstall it says certificate error so users i need solution

And you can update the 5730xm software on your own, by connecting it to your computer by USB Cable, and using a software called 'Nokia Software Updater'
But before you start updating, your phone MUST be fully charged, and considering that the one you got restart during charging, then I don't advice you to update it on your own,
So if the dealer can't get it fixed for you, then don't buy it from him, and see if you can get your money back.

Or if you can get your money back from the dealer, you can buy the 5730xm from another dealer,
Note:-
If the dealer you bought it from got a computer in the shop, ask him to update the firmware of the 5730xm and see if the restart problem get solved or ot.

Well, I got my 5730xm from over a year now, and it never restarted on me during charging, so the one you bought is probably damaged, and I advice you to return it to the dealer you bought it from.

Yes, it will solve the QWERTY-Pad problem.
But No, it will not stop the memory lost, as it happen to all symbian phones, in which a lot of temporary files are created over the time, and even if you removed them, more are going to be created, so all what you can do about it, is to delete those files every now and then.
