I am very disappointed with this phone. It reacts slowly or very slowly to touch inputs, jams and requires a re-start (e.g. on sign-in with PIN), often gives me the "wrong PIN" message, even when I put the right one in, and has a very annoying feature that one cannot install a silent boot app: that means that every time one starts the phone it plays the Nokia melody at full volume twice... I would never buy this phone again or recommend it to anyone.

The device is great, build quality is one of the best, software experience is close to pixel experience. Although the Android 10 update is not yet available the device still performs well. Hopefully Nokia provides the update soon

Do not trust reviews posted here, they are made by old clumsy people mostly with no clue, smartphone is a good experience overall, tried both versions and even 16gb totally worth the money.

Two software update means if your phones arrived with Android 8, during the next two years it will get updated to Android 9 & then Android 10. Nokia phones will also receive monthly security patches to secure your phones for new software threats and hacking.

All in all Nokia is following industries best practices and frequent software updates are very good for your phone.

cardo, 28 Apr 2020why does the phone get hot when you use it only a few minutesLet's be honest, Mediatek Helio P18 SoC implemented on Nokia 5.1 is an extremely in-efficient and subpar processor as of 2020.

Given that it is built with a 28nm fab process, first used by Qualcomm on in Snapdragon S4 processors in 2012, we are talking about an 8 year old technology. The result is high power consumption from battery and generation of heat.

On the other hand the Mediatek Helio P22 used on Nokia 3.1 Plus is built on 12nm fab process, resulting in almost no heat, frugal power consumption and better performance.

Can someone help? I couldn't upgrade to Android Pie. It will download but fails to install after restart. It kept on saying 'Couldn't install update', then it will try to download again and again. I just got this phone yesterday.

Terrible experience overall. You just don't feel like you're using an actual smartphone with 3GB RAM, keeps force-killing every single app that's in the background, even if it has a notification persistence. After deleting all crapware evenwell apps and powermonitor apps, only then performance increased at once very noticeably, battery lasts longer BUT somehow still manages to force kill all apps running in notification mode at least once a day, before removing the apps, you simply don't get any notification for apps like Whatsapp, facebook etc... Extremely regretful of my purchases, as I bought two models this 5.1 (3/32) and 6.1 (4/64) both with the same crapware that Nokia installs on what supposed to be STOCK android!! (There are over 300 junk apps pre-installed on all Nokia devices, INCLUDING the ones with the latest Android 10 updates.) Check for yourself.
                                        Just google: Nokia evenwell apps.
