You ca disable or uninsgall pretty much anything, even the photos app. But you can also singn out from your account in the photos app and it will not synchronise with the cloud. Anyway, you're afraid of google but used oppo? Going back to the photos app. Their is a great galery app called simple gallery. By simple mobile tools. The guys also have a bunch of basic non-intrusive mobile apps.

I bought this week ago ,Installed PUBG Mobile (good performance) Also Fortnite (not supported but) I got 30 fps on Fortnite ,bit lags when near clouds ,or loading textures, battery doesn't getting hot so far,even after 30 min full match. Camera has night mode. ,Also Screen has auto light adjustment.ask any questions

Even the feature phones (despite the horrible mediatek chipset) have better packing than all others, so imho Nokias have better packaging

Is there any LED notification ???
LED is cheap and no need much space on the phone and very usefull for me why now it is disappear in all type of phone why why why..???

This is the third phone I ever owned, previously used Samsung and OPPO. I use it for calls, messages, email, photos and reading news. I am not a very sophisticated mobile phone user. So forgive me if I am stating the obvious here.
I bought it, tried to use it, gave up, and went back to the OPPO. But OPPO carked, so I had to try the Nokia 5.4 again. It took a few days to work it out, and online information from Nokia is not as detailed as it might be. My main aim was to claim ownership of a phone I had paid for. When I opened it up it appeared that Google, which I understand is some kind of predatory American cybercorporation, was under the impression that it was the owner of my phone.
I found advice online on how to disable Google search, which only searches for other google stuff. Installed my preferred browser, Firefox, and disabled Chrome. And I seem to have switched off the constant messages trying to sell me Google products. Also worked out how to select my own imported phone ringtone and message notification sound.
My photos still seem to belong to Google, I find them in something called Google Photos. Is there an app program called "No, they're MY photos"?
Otherwise all seems to function well.

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2021Does it have gorilla screenNO, but it comes with a pre-applied screen protector. Always better to use a tempered glass(can be changed when broken) unlike changing whole screen when gorilla glass is broken (which they now do easily,even at 4 inches height)

Nokia box packing is not good. Even Samsung and other mobile phone box packing is better. Nokia please make a good packing for your mobile phone box.

I'd say Nokia kinda started to go downhill with their smartphones and just let Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme and other chinese manufacturers dominate the smartphone industry. It's pretty much similiar situation as with Windows phones.
When Nokia started making Android phones, I thought they will become revolutionary again like they were back in 2000's, but it's not really the case..

The thing I don't understand is "why". Why can't they make a single worthy phone? If Realme can offer amazing phones despite being a new brand, why can't Nokia?? Who is responsible?
I genuinely feel bad for anyone who has wasted their money on this phone, unless they really didn't have better options. Even 3+ years old Nokia 7 Plus is WAY better than this phone!
