Yes. you can connect this cell phone with your computer. However, you have to purchase a usb cable for this phone. (Do not Comes with original packing.) There is no OEM usb for this phone. You have to purchase Non-oem cable from 3rd market such as E-bay. (around $10) Yes. you can choose your favorite song as your ringtone and upload pic. But you see there is no external memory slot and internal memory is very limited.

dude!...It does have a volume controll of earpiece...simply pres left/right joystick button during a call to increase or decrease earpiece volume...(this volume controll of earpiece is only appear during a call)... i think u must have mistakenly press the joystick button during ur privious calls & now u r facing low sound in earpiece...this is not a fault... just an adjustment...best wishes...

dude...it does have ear piece volume controll ..simply press right/left joy stick button during a call to increase or decrease volume in ear piece (earpiece volume controlls r only available during a call)... i think ...that u r new to nokias...best wishes...

I read Dedam's post from Jan. 31. I am having a similar problem. My Nokia 6030 worked well for about 4 months, but in the past week it has lost volume. Now I can hardly hear what people are saying. I have looked for a volume setting solution unsuccessfully. This is really awful. The phone doesn't appear to have a volume control.

negative points.:-
1. select button(joystick is hard to push)
2. back cover is somewhat loose.
3. the softkey buttons are not held firmly.
they seem loose.
rest no problem whatsoever.
you can download games, wallpapers, screensavers, tones etc., easily and for free via gprs. so no problems in customising ur phone.

u can use dku-5 cable to connect to pc.
abt 150 to 200 rupees.

very good phone. use it since sep. 2006.
i would give 8.5 out of 10.
cheap gprs phone to start with.
radio also.
excellent resale value.
i will recommend it.

I Loved This mobile for its good shape ,its handfree or fm its nice for me
but one major problem is infra,or blue tooth but any way its nice

6030s cool but 4 one thing, I receive my MMS pics in some dot-matrix-like black n white way even when sent in color by sender. Is anyone else having that problem?

I bought a 6030 series mobile from bangalore.Always i am getting the message " Check Info Service" and after time the tower goes....When i swithes the mob again the tower comes.Also it works only on Hutch nos.Can you pls help me to rectify it.Is there any software or hardware remedy for it.Pls reply soon....

i recently bought a nokia 6030 phone but the volume when making a call is so low that i hardly hear what is been said is there a way of adjusting the volume so that i can hear what the others are saying

Very nice phone
- Simple yet good looking design
- Small & light
- Economical?? (I put ? mark since I got this phone as gift from my brother and I am confused about the actual retail price in India some say Rs. 4500, Rs. 3500, etc.)
- Keypad very nice to press
- Great sound quality
A very good phone for basic use, with radio and handsfree as extra features! Love it!
