I just picked this phone up. I just wanted something that would hold up and it looks to be a winner. The keypad is not as difficult as most phones are with my freakishly large fingers. Solid design. As a bonus it plays mp3s that I can upload to my webserver and download with the nifty browser. I sense some very cool python scripts to go with this...
cons: few. my biggest is the FM radio appears to require an additional hardware purchase. Not a big deal for me, but this should have been indicated on the package. The price may be prohibitive but I got this phone with a contract renewal so it was practically free.

hey guyz...well i have data cable of this phone.i have used MobiMB Mobile Media software to transfer the date..but it only transfered the ringtones n pictures..nothing more
So cud anyone tell me the software to transfer the themes n specialy games into this mobile.(complete procedure)
further more i wana know from where i can get this softare OXYGEN PHONE MANAGER 2.8.1
??

The Specification Says It Has GPRS. But Somebodies are Saying That It Has No GPRS. PLZ Tell Me Anybody That, It Has GPRS Or Not ?

melodies and pictures:
if you wanna download ringtones, pictures, gifs free,
1-search in google *.mid (*=the name of the song that you want)
2-then upload this song to your internet website eg=www.geocities.com/smith (if you had a yahoo mail you can easily get a web area of 15mb from geocities)
3-then add the bookmark to your phone's web forexample=http://www.geocities.com/smith/*.mid
4-finally the song is yours
5-you may also upload the pictures to geocities and download them to your phone by this way. my advice is that upload the picture to web after resizing them 128*128 pixels
(you may also search google from your phone's web but you may not be able to find everything because of the capabilities of the web from phone)

i download some themes from nokia wap site (since i dont have a cable) for my Nokia 6030. when i apply the downloaded theme i can only view the image but when i go to sub menus the old theme appears and not the one that i've downloaded. i check the file and theres a icon with a key on the downloaded file. how can i load the theme correctly? need ur help. anyone?

i too had the same problem of having the data cable but no data transfer...
then i too wandered here and there
then i finally downloaded the latest version of OXYGEN PHONE MANAGER 2.8.1
and it worked!!!
also MobiMB Mobile Media Browser 3.1
works well
But these are trial versions.
but the softwares are kool
About the internet connection via PC...
I am still in search of the right modem driver...
as soon as i come to know
i'll let u all know...
u alll too keep trying
and if u get sumthin good
telll me plz.

Chella,
If you want to get rid of theme of your nokia 6030 please get the battery and the sim out of your mobile set and then put them back in after about 1 minute the applied theme will be automatically cancelled.

Nice phone but I am unable to adjust the ear-piece volume to my desired level like I could in my earlier NOKIA 8250. Anyone has any ideas about this feature that is missing in the NOKIA 6030?

It has all the feauters which should be in common use mobile .The shape is exact copy of Sony Ericcson.I was waiting for this step of Nokia and they done it.I requets to all readers please try 6030.

Hi!
Did anyone have charging problems with this phone?
After the charger is plugged, it reports after a while that there is ni charging anymore, but the battery is not full.
After I unplug the charger and plug it in again, it works for a while, but the charging allways stops before the full load of the battery.
Any ideeas on this?

I just bought this phone, and think its very nice for the price. However, I'm having difficulty getting new ringtones. Apparantly, this phone doesn't have a Composer. So, how can I change the tempo of downloaded ringtones??
