To hello123 you can't play mp3 on it. Maximum is one song, the memory is not big!
You only can listen radio.

I have the Nokia for a half a year now, but after 3 weeks there were back scratches in the white paint. The material of this phone is very cheap. I wouldn't recommend it in de the first please. But if you are looking for a beautiful design and not many functions it is a great phone. I only miss Bluetooth...

***This phone is a magnet ****
On the back of the phone, just right above the battery cover you'll see the "nokia" logo. Put a paper clip right on it and it'll stick to it like a magnet! This is awesome.
I really like the physical look of this phone. But not a typical fast menu like other nokia's. Memory too small. Hard to hear ear phone volume is too low4 in loud places. Microphone is not very clear, sometimes i have to repeat myself twice to people i talk to on the other line.
I've had better nokia phones. I recommend the 3220 over this phone. But i like flip phones better. No good nokia flip phones out there. I've had the 7270, had to return it with same problem.
I'm keepin this phone just cuz i only spent 100 bucks on it (american dollars).
Anymore question, please email me. thanks

Model: Nokia 6101 (black)
Service: T-mobile To Go (prepaid)
Retailer: Target
Price: $120
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Rating: 9.0/10.0
(rating compared to other prepaid phones)
Pros
-------------
- Two color display screens
- Good quality, size internal display
- Unique, nice design
- PC compatible, data transfer
- FM Radio, good quality sound
- Camera, Video, Speakerphone
- Voice recorder
- Voice dialing, navigation
- Customizable navigation button options
- High volume speaker
- Hands-free options
- MP3 compatible
- Solid clamshell design
- Picture, Voice, Instant Messenger
- Download/Upload Ring tones, Games, Wallpapers, and Screensavers
- Themes, interface design very customizable
Cons
-------------
- Mediocre in-call volume
- Small amount of memory, about 2.8mb max once deleting all unnecessary files
- Flip could use more "spring" action
- GUI could be better, more user friendly
- Loading times can be bothersome
- Mediocre battery life
- External antenna
- No Web browsing (prepaid)
Some worth mentioning pros are the fact that there are a good amount of phone features such as a camera, voice dialing, picture messaging, and more. Features such as wallpaper, ring tones, font color, and icons are all customizable. I recommend getting a data cable to take advantage of all the features the Nokia 6101 has to offer.
The most noticeable con would have to be the low audible volume during calls. This only affects what you hear during calls, the other persons volume seems to not be affected. It seems as though it varies with different phones/providers.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Nokia 6101. I had a tough time deciding which prepaid phone to choose, but after doing some research decided to go with the 6101. It has a nice design, good features, and one of the best prepaid phone options on the market.
If you have a cell phone contract/plan, there are far better phones out there.
Fun facts
-------------
- Navigation buttons are customizable: change the shortcuts to what best suits you!
- Voice activated shortcuts: assign a recorded voice to a shortcut, hold the volume down button, and then say what shortcut you want to go there
- Loud speaker radio: plug in headset, go to radio options to switch to speaker
- Use camera when shut: just hold down the right external camera button, view yourself in the mini screen!
- Download Nokia Series 40 Theme Studio: program to create themes and customize your 6101
If you like the 6101 design and don't want a prepaid phone, I highly recommend the new Nokia 6125! More features (Bluetooth, internal antenna) but with the same sleek design!

Phone looks very nice, and has a good camera. But it has a very big problem: the speakers are really bad. i had it for a week, and i'm returning it because nobody could hear me when I speak. so it's nice that a phone has a camera but if it can't do the basic thing a phone is supposed to do = communication. then, NO thanks

good phone, i'm happy but nokia hasn't showed the best that could do on this model.
the pieces are made of poor material and that cause a wrong impression about quality.
6125 is a kind of evolution but next time don't get wrong because motorola is here to stay!

It froze once when I was using alarm clock function. The alarm kept going off and nothing else would work. That problem stopped after a while. hope it doesnt happen again.
Cant get the sync cable I ordered c 42 to work with nokias pc downloaded program. Service from 800 lines totally unacceptable. Cant find anyone who can help with the problem. Hung up on twice after being put on hold.
Supposedly downloads to my album with are free for pics. That is pretty cool.
