No there isn't. If you want other maps then you have to purchase them individually either from Route66 or download them using your cell phone and then "sign" them using the cell phone. Either way you'll pay through the nose to obtain these maps (data rate charges and/or product purchase). TomTom or other navigational software will NOT work with the 6110 Navigator - Route66 is your ONLY option.

      Anyone tried a 4GB card?
It's stated in the phone's manual that it only supports Micro SD cards up to a capacity of 2GB. I suspect that's because Nokia doesn't supply cards with more than 2GB...
You will soon discover it's not enough if you travel across several countries; easily you get your 2GB card full, and it's not practical to change cards, as they are quite small and easily lost...
Could anyone test a 4MB card and see if it works fine with the phone?
      Thanking in advance,
      Best Wishes,

Very nice phone, the 3D speakers are nice and loud, and the GPS loads very quickly.

          To the poster who says:

But the reason i'm writing is to let you know that when i use my Supertooth Light in my car while driving. I can talk on my phone while my phone is still giving me directions.

So as for you "FINAL REPORT", your report is, in some aspects, incorrect.

No it isn't. You just misread my post!
Below a copy of what I wrote:
05-It should be possible to hear navigational instructions through the phone's loudspeakers, while talking on the phone by bluetooth!
-->You need to drive with bluetooth switched on so you can legally answer a call while driving (in my country at least), but this way you have to carry your bluetooth device in your ear all the time to hear the GPS's tutoring...
It's not practical (or safe) to activate/deactivate the blutooth and connected bluetooth device everytime you want to answer/make a call.
If I'm missing some special function of your Supertooth Light, please do enlighten me...
          Regards,

I have one, but I can't get HSDPA connection succesfully in my country Malaysia (Penang). It OK if I use only 3G without HSDPA activated. When I activate the HSDPA function I only can use it for one to two minutes before my network hang and I can't make and receive a call after that until I restart the phone. I make a complaint to the telcos and they send technicians to my place and they shown me that the HSDPA coverage is OK (but they use Vadafon data card and they test my SIM card with it). Is anybody make it succesfully in other part of Malaysia? May be HSDPA standard in malaysia is difference? Or is there a bug in the phone software?

Excellent phone, had one for 2 weeks and its fantastic. GPS is awesome, only complaint is it sometimes has trouble finding your location when you turn it on after you are already moving (happened once on a train at 80kmh, could not find my position!) Get a screen cover cos its too nice to scratch ;)

                    Hi Waterjelly

What do you mean settings? The only access point you need is GPRS..ONLY IF YOU NEED TO CONNECT TO GPRS.... i understand that some providers require this, so you'll have to contact your service provider for that. Besides those settings, the GPS does its own work.

                    Any more questions... ask away

Hey guys. It would be very much appreciated if you could advise me the correct GPS settings such as access point and positioning method and positioning server.
                      Cheers.

                        Hi Everybody

I've just gone through a few pages of posts on here and realised there are A LOT of you upset that your actually paying for your GPS service (or part thereof).

First of all, these usage costs are from your service provider. Example, Optus. (Australia). This nasty nasty company decided to actually charge you all. Full in disappointment.

With Telstra, even though it is not approved on any plan, you can still purchase the handset outright from a lot of retailers.

I do have the 6110 Navigator myself as does my work collegue. We have NEVER paid for any of the usage. Not a cent.

As for you on the $49 Optus cap with the handset for "FREE", you now know that the service providers WILL ALWAYS get your money. Any way they can. But this is not just an individual provider; they are all accountable, as they do not tell you a majority of things when buying a handset.

                        Thanks

Any problems with what i have said, let me know.

In regards to the massive uncalled for post: "Nokia 6110 Navigator - Design, Firmware & Software Inconsistencies - Final Report (28-07-2007)"

First of all, this handset has been brilliant for me from day dot. But i noticed you failed to notice all the GREAT extras the phone provides.

But the reason i'm writing is to let you know that when i use my Supertooth Light in my car while driving. I can talk on my phone while my phone is still giving me directions.

I have to say that Route66 has worst customer support I ever met. I bought my map over their software Route66 Sync, but I got nothing, my map is still locked. After few weeks emailing back and forth( they don't have phone number, what kinda company does not have a phone ?), my problem still not solved and I am pissed off by their customer support. They are just not being help at all!! most of time, they just repeat what was said before without even reading my reply!! AND THEY DONT WANT TO REFUND!so I suggested them that keep the money i paid already but credit it to another map on my cell then I am going to re-buy the same map as I did at very beginning, but they even dont want to do so, YET THEY NEVER HAD ANY SOLUTION FOR ME...... I would have to suggest all ppl not using Route66. They r the worst company I ever met in my whole life. PPl please go with Tomtom or something else if you dont want to be frustrated by those jerks from Route 66

Amazing the nonsense you hear from some users
This is a good phone generally speaking, but do you know:
1-If the phone has a problem not covered by the warranty you loose all your (paid) Route 66 maps?
2-That you're obliged to buy individual maps from a region (e.g, Western Europe) that cost you 5x more than the equivalent global solution?
3-While driving and with your bluetooth connection on to legally answer/talk on the phone, the GPS Road instruction can not be switch to the loudspeakers at the same time?
4-That the phone crashes 2-3 times per week with an average use, and you have to take the battery out to reboot?
5-That the Route66 compared with the similar TomTom routing software is miles behind, in speed or accuracy of calculation?
I could go on and on but I will only say that unfortunately, most feedback you hear in this and other forums, are from users who don't actually owne it, or use it for what it was meant to do.
I personally would like to hear more about this phone and from people like me, who are experiencing the same problems and would like to find some solutions...
                              Kind Regards,

If the phone came with TomTom the phone would be worth the high asking price...

As it doesnt, its worth no more than £200!

I am absolutely delighted with the phone so far , having using it for almost 2 weeks. The transition from using SE K800i to this phone has been almost perfect. It's a good upgrade as I find this phone more user-friendly . For those who are considering this phone, go and get yours today. This is definately one of the top phones in 2007. **Highly recommand**
